people are the worst thing to happen to the everglades they are just covering it up. Easiest way to take care of the problem is to bomb it. Why we at it just eradicate every human off the face of the earth there is most of the problems in the world taken care of.
@edgirallenjoe29,clearly you have never been chased by a snake, they are very fast, and for your comment about not getting past your shoulders, clearly you are mistaken, the largest thing on the human body is the head, when the snake constricts, suffocating the prey, till dead, then the snake winds and positions its meal, twiting and gyrating ,compressing the body,if a large python,or anaconda was to kill a person,it will ingest, watch the video of the gator, you will see my point,
im not saying pythons cant hurt humans, but it would take a huge one at that to eat a human; second, the footage of the juvenile python "constricting" that alligator? really?you think that tiny python was even hurting that plate scaled gator? lmao and that old photo of that python split in half with a gator hangin out, really?i watched this series that almost proved for sure that that pic was doctored lol and lastly,Florida is its own state, make them deal with their own problems, not the whole US
@MrIceBrick and im talking of course about Bill S373; dont allow those who have never mistreated their pets or their country to suffer for other ppl negligence
@MrIceBrick wow you're an ignoramus, "Florida is its own state" i guess its akin to being its own country and tourists wouldn't be affected by such an infestation...lol. You're a moron
@blkjedi954 really? so if my state had lets say a parrot problem, youre telling me the whole country should suffer from it? i dont think so, and if you do then youre the moron..........well where i live we do have a parrot problem cuz a pet shop burnt down and now theyve been reproducing rapidly, and i dont see Flordia suffering cuz of our parrots lol
@MrIceBrick Yes, because parrots can fly from state to state or to even to another continent. And yes, parts of Florida ARE under seige from several species of parrots. So don't talk shit before getting the facts. As Abe said,"Tis better to be thought a fool than to open one's mouth and remove all doubt." You have removed any doubt.

@Inquisitor53 Flordia is taking so damn long to handle their own problem--why? im pretty sure you guys have the resources to hire pro exterminators full-time. we did it with the Parrots and my state is supposedly in so much debt lmao
ya um and maby if parents would watch their kids a burmese python wont even be around them! i have 3 pythons and they are as sweet as can be... THEY ARE NOT KILLERS
@shanetjr Reptile have little in the line of emotion. They react with their instincts only. To think otherwise is losing respect for the animal, you will drop your guard, and it will attack you.
Let me just say. Pythons have been found that they may have the resources to have the ability to kill someone. Oh So Scary! Not. Pythons might bite you "Ow" it might hurt and make you bleed. But it's not gonna eat you unless you let it. FYI: They aren't poisonous.
@argomand Tell that to the two toddlers that were killed by burmese pythons about two yrs ago. Did you forget those incidences or did you purposely blot it out of your mind? Both videos of the killings are still on youtube. Now go spread your lies elsewhere.
@Inquisitor53 Two? Is that all? Well your in for a shock! There are billions of babies that are killed by abortion and you are talking about two children. And not to mention the alligators that actually do kill people along with vemonous snakes, sharks and spiders and you are going to complain about an ultra rare incedent. Go spread your idiocy somewhere else!
@argomand Whether we like it or not humans have rights, pythons do not. Another right we humans have: I can (and every winter do) legally decapitate any feral python I find in Florida with my well-honed machete' and the FWC endorses it (nice to have the law backing me up). If it ain't chipped & permitted it feral & it's dead. Every winter I'm in the western 'glades to visit kin & kill pythons with the assist of a tayra (look it up). She only hunts the pregnant females now, she's developed ...
@Inquisitor53 ... a taste for unborn python eggs. If she smells her hid in an old gator nest she'll dig until she makes contact, then it's hit & run tactics until she sees her chance (as cold as the past to winters were they damn sure didn't move much) nails it in the neck bites through it's spine & spinal cord with one bite from elongated, back edge-serrated canines. Death is swift. If she sees a small one in the trees, it's dead the second she makes contact. If I see it 1st I'll walk ...
@Inquisitor53 ...right up to it with machete' in hand and WHACK! just 4" behind the head and another python done gone. Then hack them up into chunks for the native predators to feed on for a change.
@pikmin123456 Are you saying to hell with Florida's ecosystem as long as we "...let them have a chance..."?Where in the hell are you hiding your brains? I kill ANY invasive species, flora & fauna,. But come winter I focus on but one species, burmese pythons. I've family members in the western 'glades and we go on organized python hunts. Got a small animal to help hunt them down, especially females (the critter loves the eggs that we spill from their slit-open bellies). It hunts, I kill,...
@Inquisitor53 ... my relatives skin. What's left I hack into bite-size chunks for the natives to feed on the invaders, my form of karma. The critter's happy from eating immature eggs, I'm happy from ridding the 'glades of a few more invaders, family & I are happy from the money for the python skins, and native wildlife enjoy the taste of invading burms flesh. It's a win-win situation all around! This winter we plan to kill a few hundred more. Oh, the joys of trying to save an ecosystem!
@pikmin123456 Not a snowball's chance in hell! FL law states if you see a feral python it is your obligation to kill with the most humane method at one's disposal. My razor-sharp machetes & axes fits the bill perfectly. One whack to the neck a few inches behind the head is about as humane as it gets, it's instant death and during a cold winter I can walk right up on them. They try to move but it's an exercize in futility as the blade always finds it's mark. Another python done gone!
Just kill all the feral pythons and get it over with but dont punish responsible owners. We have millions of homeless dogs and cats and we dont see a ban on them, there are millions of abusive parents but you dont see a ban on human reproduction? so who do you think you are?
@TheSolaceDream Cats & dogs will never become an apex predator, pythons can and will. Cats & dogs are mammals and are trainable, pythons aren't. I can let my cats & dogs outside knowing the will stay in the yard and come back in the house when I call them, can't do that with a python. No matter the size, if my pets get hungry I know they won't be sizing me (or a child) up for their next meal. So quit with the apples to oranges comparisons, it's skewed logic.
@TombstoneAnnieOakly I talked with a Miccosukee native of the Seminoles last week. He's retired now. He said when he catches a python it will no longer exist... same for the owners if he catches them dumping pythons.
He'll make a fine member of next winter's search, destroy, & eradication group. He & the tayra are becoming friends, with my daughter & grandson nearby to keep the animal at ease with him.
@Serpent871 Er...Yes we have. Zoos are in part responsible but you can't deny quite a few were dumped. I've seen them in the 'glades for well over 20 years, so can't put all the blame on hurricane/damaged zoo scenerio.
@nealcole Not if I can help it! Thanks to a special member of the otter family that specializes in the search & kill of reptiles. She led my group to the discovery of pythons using abandoned gators nests to survive the record cold temps in the 'glades. As mentioned below the cold killed quite a lot but damn sure not all. Who cares? I kill any intruding snake that don't belong in this state. If it's yours & it's escaped you better find it before I do! Machete or 12 ga. mossberg, either way you can have it back when I'm done!
As Corallus said, domestic dogs are far more dangerous, and I'd like to add that cats cause more environmental damage world wide than any other animal. We should definitely work harder to exterminate feral cats.
I agree with you about the cats but the subject isn't about feral cats worldwide, it's about pythons in the Everglades (and their slow migration north into central florida) and the destruction they're causing here. Kill them all!
Doesn't get as big as most other pythons?..right, a Burmese is only one of the largest snakes in the world. They need to be killed...simple as that. They upset the eco-balance in the areas they are introduced. Humans are at fault here, but it's still necessary in order to preserve the natural environment.
There are very few deaths recorded by these pythons. Only 12 people hve been killed by these snakes in the past 29 years. Between 1979 and the late 1990's over 300 people were killed by domesticated dogs. And yet we still dont see a problem there.
@Inquisitor53 I read all your comments about killing the invasive python/anaconda species and I agree, 10000000 percent. Those assholes that don't live here and have no idea the true danger to Florida's ecosystem and residents these large snakes pose have no business commenting. They only speak out of ignorance and it was refreshing how you educated them. Good work!!
@blkjedi954 I thank you. Ignorance is the keyword. Those willing to learn I teach, those who wish to remain ignorant have to learn about life (and their pythons) the hard way. I only hope it doesn't cost them a pet or a child in the learning process.
So you are saying this is the snake's fault. Because its not. These snakes are acting on natural instinct. its not their fault. its the owners. They are simply releasing them into the wild. And not all owners are like this. some owners love the animals and keep them for the animals entire life. there are plenty of responsible owners out there who love the snakes. but its not the snakes fault.
I think its rediculous that these people try to scare the public by telling them that humans are endagered. Of course they're going to believe that. Any person who is uneducated in the reptile field will believe that a snake could eat them. Where as not even a reticulated python or an Anaconda could eat a full grown human being. Since snakes eat head first and swallow prey whole, it is impossible for them to get past the shoulders. Besides, the snakes would flee in the event of an interaction.
99.9% of those pictures or videos are doctored or staged. Its physically impossible for a snake to swallow a man if it eats head first, which they almost always do. Now if a man were to fall sideways then a 28 foot Reticulated Python could go up and over the propped shoulders and consume the man, but otherwise its impossible.
no burmese would reach that length, the worlds longest snake, the reticulated python, rarely reaches that length, and the heaviest bodied snake, the anaconda, NEVER reaches that length.
@Inquisitor53 I clearly said in response to "RedClick01" that the snake could kill you, bud. But there is not a snake in the world large enough to consume you. It is physically impossible for the snake to get past your shoulders. Not only would the snake not even attack a human, if a dangerous interaction did occur, unless the subject is a complete fucking idiot and doesn't know how to run, he could easily escape the snake.
@edgirallenjoe29 Too far fetched? Well then, account for the two toddlers crushed to death within a year of each other (one in Arizona, the other in Florida) by burms. Check it out right here on youtube. That's beyond possible, beyond being realistic; those two deaths are facts. Are you denying facts?
people are the worst thing to happen to the everglades they are just covering it up. Easiest way to take care of the problem is to bomb it. Why we at it just eradicate every human off the face of the earth there is most of the problems in the world taken care of.

So your saying it's ok if it doesent get past your shoulders? Wouldnt it kill you if it has your head in hes mouth?
RedClick01 2 years ago
The snake could kill you, yes, but chances are it wont. they dont get as big as most of the other pythons.

99.9% of those pictures or videos are doctored or staged. Its physically impossible for a snake to swallow a man if it eats head first, which they almost always do. Now if a man were to fall sideways then a 28 foot Reticulated Python could go up and over the propped shoulders and consume the man, but otherwise its impossible.

are you kidding??? burmese pythons are one of the 3 biggest snake species in the world. they can reach 27 feet long.
bremenlegation 2 years ago
you're a fucking idiot as well.
no burmese would reach that length, the worlds longest snake, the reticulated python, rarely reaches that length, and the heaviest bodied snake, the anaconda, NEVER reaches that length.

looked up, as in the internet.
because the internet never lies right?
fucking homo.
cameronisaloser 2 years ago
@edgirallenjoe29 No but they have killed children. Go ahead, deny it.

@edgirallenjoe29 Burms can get up to 20 ft., if not bigger. That's plenty big enough to kill an adult human.

@Inquisitor53 I clearly said in response to "RedClick01" that the snake could kill you, bud. But there is not a snake in the world large enough to consume you. It is physically impossible for the snake to get past your shoulders. Not only would the snake not even attack a human, if a dangerous interaction did occur, unless the subject is a complete fucking idiot and doesn't know how to run, he could easily escape the snake.
edgirallenjoe29 6 months ago
@edgirallenjoe29 Sure we can escape them, except for toddlers & infants. We all know of two that couldn't.
Inquisitor53 6 months ago
@Inquisitor53 Again, although the circumstances are quite possible. By no means are they likely even in the slightest. Snakes do not attack people.
edgirallenjoe29 6 months ago
@Inquisitor53 You have to be realistic. The circumstances are just too farfetched.
edgirallenjoe29 6 months ago
@edgirallenjoe29 Too far fetched? Well then, account for the two toddlers crushed to death within a year of each other (one in Arizona, the other in Florida) by burms. Check it out right here on youtube. That's beyond possible, beyond being realistic; those two deaths are facts. Are you denying facts?
