No it's a championship race. VLN is a series of 10 endurance races held at the Nordschleife. Race are between 3,5 and 6 hours long and are open to cars from GT2 (Rahal Letterman ALMS BMW M3 GTR races there with a full works lineup entered by BMW Motorsport) and it goes down to Peugeot 206, Mini Cooper and other cars having only a little more than 100bhp

230 cars compete in the non-championship 24 hour race, speed difference at the fastest section is 320kph to approx. 200kph

falsch. vor dem 24h rennen im mai 2005 haben die alzen-brüder auf allrad zurückgerüstet, da es laut vln-reglement den wagen gestattet war auf allrad zu starten, die in der serienversion über allrad verfügen. (siehe porsche 996 turbo) vorher waren sie auf heckantrieb unterwegs, da haste recht.

Da hast du Recht, allerdings finde ich das komisch das die das Auto als Porsche Turbo einstufen. Hat doch 2 Turbos das Teil, wäre somit ein GT2 und die haben ja serienmässig keinen Allradantrieb.

It's a 4x4 Turbo that they stripped down and built up again from scratch. Never lasted more than about 2 hours...but damn it was fast :D
