  • Its because black people blow everything out of proportion I mean really go call a white guy any racial term and he wont give a shit

  • Comment removed

  • This commercial is not fucking racist. The Japanese have used that exact monkey in many commercials and that monkey species has been in Japan's cultural symbolism for over a thousand years, because that species is from their country. CNN made it look like a racist commercial because of what western people associate with the racial issues regarding black people as monkeys. You Americans honestly know nothing of Japan, this commercial was in no way racist, not even fucking close.

  • @TheSantaKruz I know. Our media blows everything out of proportion. I'm American, and I know lots about Japan because it's a fascinating country and I plan to go there. The monkey is worshipped in Japan.

  • @TheSantaKruz Thats what the AMERICAN was saying. Also germany rules.

  • JAPANESE = MONKEYS = JAPES ???

    watch?v=W4gwwFDUgxE

  • Japanese = monkey

  • @lsilverstarII

In all of Asia that is not an insult, kid. It's actually a compliment. Monkeys are Gods. However your comment does tell us quite a bit about you.

  • @Gimmeabreakman monkeys are gods huh?.. my big toe is an angel.

  • obama=monkey

  • whats wrong with that? obama really do look like a monkey its not because he's black its because his mouth is crooked and arched and his ears are huge like an elephant

  • id prefer the monkey instead of obama..

  • Black People = Big Black Gorillas From Africa

    negro smells bad

  • did this cocksucker just say blacks look like gorillas? and agree to it? be seeing ya..

  • @TikiShootah

Actually I think he said ONE black guy looked like a gorilla and then he said everybody looks like animals.

  • dick feast.

  • I can't believe I got suckered into watching 5 seconds of this wretched swill.

  • when you say we have a lot of africans here... is that you and the japanese? lol

  • @popinjay3000

It must be fun living in your mind.

  • YOU LOOK LIKE MEXICAN OR PERUVIAN.ARE YOU?

  • ARE YOU FROM PERU?

  • I prefer if Japan is not corrupted by some crappy political correctness from USA.

  • i stopped at 3:17.

y'know, some people have a really bad habit of taking a long time to explain things.

  • @freeenik

y'know, some people have a really bad habit of leaving pointless comments blaming others for their own inadequacies.

  • @Gimmeabreakman

yes, i'm inadequate because getting to the point is a lot simpler than beating around the bush.

let me buy you some hedge trimmers.

  • @freeenik

If you think 6 minutes is too long to actually say something then maybe you need to NOT click on videos that say 6:31 on them. You have only yourself to blame. Go eat some crow with your humble pie.

  • @Gimmeabreakman Go eat a dick you whiney self-absorbed douche

  • @deacon9260

HAHA! Trolling the trolls! I get the view and the comment. PWN.

  • @Gimmeabreakman .............you're fucking pitiful

  • @Gimmeabreakman What a fuckin' drama queen

  • @deacon9260

    Thanks for the comment.

  • @Gimmeaflakeman You're welcome, now go eat a dick

  • @deacon9260

No, thank you. However, if you're going to attempt to stand up against racism then you should also stand up against homophobia. Don't be scared, man. They are nice people.

  • @Gimmeabreakman .............and what about "go eat a dick" implies that I'm afraid of gays? Or that I'm standing up against racism???

  • Gorilla looking man? seriously? She coulda just said watch where you are going? The fact that you should just totally defended it. I can't believe you just said black people are like gorrilaz fuck you

  • @Missleanneiscool

Nice troll attempt, troll. Never said that. She said gorilla before she even saw that he looked like a gorilla. His color has nothing to do with it. Maybe you look like a gorilla too. Your color is irrelevant.

  • @Gimmeabreakman "She was face to face to the biggest blackest gorilla looking man I'd ever seen" You totally said it. Who's trolling this offended me and I made that known.

  • @Missleanneiscool

Ah, yes, I did say that. What's your point?

  • @Gimmeaflakeman I think its clear enough what my point is its spelled out clearly in my last comments.

  • @Missleanneiscool

    Thanks for the comments.

  • I remember george bush was often compared to a chimpanzee and bill clinton a dog :P

  • @AZULAPRO Now that I think about it that's true. Plus it sounds like the girl spoke before she fully turned around and saw the guy.

  • fag

  • i wonder how they feel about Obama sending troops to help them

  • @SSJasonX I'm Chinese and in China the Monkey has been worshiped as a God for thousands of years. The Monkey represents cleverness, agility and an adventurous spirit. My mom use to call us little monkeys growing up. One of the most popular Chinese stories is of the Monkey King who saves the Buddhist. We have movies, books, songs and poetry all dedicated to the brave clever Monkey. That commercial was racist in the eyes of the West because the West is racist.

  • @PorkChopMissPiggy Your right but even if it they were not trying to be racist you can't make a monkey and black persons comparison and not expect some negative backlash.they should know that doing that is very offensive to black people, thats like making a commerical with a chinese eating a dog or cat its highly offensive and i know you would be upset if you saw that, theirs somethings you shouldn't do

  • @SSJasonX I understand what your saying but I think your comparing oranges to apples. What if I told you that Jesus or what ever religion/God you believed in is considered racist against the Chinese? Would you then give up your God because I felt it was racist? I understand in the West the monkey representing Obama is racist and I'm glad they pulled the commercial. We do live in an international world. It's only racist because the whites started comparing blacks with monkeys.

  • @PorkChopMissPiggy yeah your right

  • This is stupid..she should have gotten her ass whipped out the frame for say something so rude...

  • I wanna know If asians can see 100% at all times? Those eyes are so narrow .

Does that make me a racist ?

  • @PreciousRubine It mainly just makes you a moron.

  • Black people don't look like monkeys. Have you seen the state of the people of Japan.

  • Obama's half white not black. Fucking idiots.

  • It is OK to make an advertisement like that, it is perfectly OK and what makes it OK is freedom of speech. If a company wants to use a monkey for whatever reason, they are free to do so. If their intent is to insult then are free to do that as well.

  • As long as there's no malice, I don't see why not. It's impossible to please everybody, because it seems like there are new political correctness issues coming up every week. If we keep this up, we'd all be mute.

  • @arby22207 What's wrong with malice? That is all we have been getting from Obama lately.

  • this guy made a lil fun abt black ppl lol,i dnt gt y white ppl think they are soo super human.

  • @nanabonsu07 We aren't SUPER human, just human, blacks are apes.

  • dude, shut up.

  • The Monkey in Asia is considered to be God that protects people just like Jesus, Hercules, Thor and so on. There is also Monkey Kung-Fu.

  • Its always nice to hear what I should accept or what I should as a black man when it comes racially abusing my race I'M NOT LAUGHING I'M SMILING OR SHARING THE JOKE with none of you

  • @delirious44 Nobody here is telling you what to accept, nobody here is making any joke, and nobody here is trying to abuse you. You may now continue to rage at imaginary racists.

  • @yerk3 You know what I'm not going to go back and forth with you , because your not worth it WHEN YOU MAKE STATEMENTS LIKE RACISM is imaginary you've proved me right again

  • @delirious44 Actually, no, I didn't say "racism is imaginary," but I can't be surprised that you would misconstrue it that way, seeing as that's what you've been doing since your first comment here. I'm pretty sure that you knew exactly what I meant, but that doesn't fit with your argument, nor does it help with your self-righteous indignation. I understand, the endorphin high that people get from righteous indignation can be addictive.

  • @yerk3 See what I did was classic European tactics , I took what really happened twisted it to suit my own agenda of politics ....... NOW NEXT I'M GOING to tell you not to be mad about it then I'm going to make some think your a racist "and I actually don't think you are" BUT WHEN I TELL YOU TO RELAX AND ACCEPT IT ITS NOT RACIST . I want you to remember your first comment to me PEACE

  • @delirious44 This has shit-all to do with "classic European tactics." You took something that was not racist, then intentionally misconstrued it as being extremely racist, so that you could play holier than thou. The rest of your post doesn't even make sense.

  • @yerk3 zzzzzzzz zzzzzzzz you still here ?

  • @delirious44 Yeah, I'm still here, and still waiting for your response.

  • @yerk3 If you think the Obama commercial wasn't racist what do you want me to say to you , maybe your one of them Japanese people who think its cool to make jokes , pop groups , tv sketches , painting yourself black to ridicule black people and you've become immune to the possibility that we've never troubled Japanese people but yet they continue with their bullshit

  • @delirious44 You are looking at this through an American cultural lense. If an American company had made this commercial, then it would be racist, because the stereotypes are well known in America. Japan, however, is not America. Maybe you should look into your own cultural arrogance, thinking that the whole world is exactly like America, and has the exact same cultural iconography. As surprising as it may be, there are cultures out there which are different from your own.

  • @delirious44 In Japan, monkeys have absolutely no racial connotations whatsoever. The monkey is a primal natural thing, having nothing to do with any human race. Nor is it a negative image: it is associated with the literary character Sun Wukong (a.k.a. Son Goku, Iron Monkey, Handsome Monkey King, Great Sage Equal of Heaven, etc), the immortal sorcerer/trickster/warrior/king from Journey to the West, a character immediately recognizable throughout East Asia.

  • @delirious44 A lot of the examples you mention were never intended to "ridicule" black people. The Japanese just don't have the same stereotypes as Americans, it's a different culture.

  • @delirious44 If by "painting yourself black" you are referencing the guanguro girls, they aren't even trying to look like black people. I don't know if you know this, but Japanese people actually tan quite dark, they just avoid the sun because fair skin has always been the traditional mainstream standard of beauty over there. Guanguro or Yamanba intentionally transgress this idea of beauty by frequenting tanning salons and using makeup that accentuates their darkness.

  • @delirious44 And before you bring up fair skin + standard of beauty = racism, no, it has more to do with the class system of ancient Japanese society. Aristocrats could afford to stay inside all day, and so they could stay pale. Peasants had to spend long hours out in the hot sun, tending the rice paddies, and so they ended up with dark tans. As a result, light skin became associated with wealth and high birth, and dark skin became the mark of a peasant.

  • LMAO @ Lizard talking about a GREAT APE

  • this guy is brainwashed

  • @amina70angel How?

  • @yerk3

cos obama is black and why is obama the monkey ???not dog or a cat

do yourself a favour and google up black racist stereotype views

    it may help

  • @amina70angel Because software company's mascot was a monkey, not a dog or a cat. If they had used a dog or a cat, it wouldn't have made sense, because that's not their mascot. Yes, I know of the "stereotype views," but the thing you seem intent on ignoring is that these views are specific to Western culture, and are entirely alien to Japan, where the software company is, and where the commercial was made.

  • @yerk3

so your telling me asian dont have stereotype views ?

  • @amina70angel Actually, that's not what I'm saying at all, but don't let that stand in your way of scoring some ideological points. Stereotypes are specific cultural things, different cultures have different stereotypes. The Japanese have their own stereotypes which are different from our own. They don't have the negative connection between monkeys and races they don't like, this is one is specific to Western culture.

  • @amina70angel There isn't any specific animosity towards black people in Japan anyways, there aren't enough of them in the country for most people to form an opinion one way or another. If you want to hear about racism in Japan, talk to a Korean or a Filipino, most of it is directed at them. Lots of them have emigrated to Japan in recent decades to find work, and they seem to be viewed similarly to how Mexicans are viewed in the U.S.

  • @yerk3

huh?but most of my filipino's friends love japan? so do i wanna go to tokoy am not trya sound ignorant but aint south asian ment to stick together ?

  • @amina70angel I'm talking about Japanese attitudes towards Filipinos, not Filipino attitudes towards Japan. The Japanese have always considered themselves distinct from other Asian races, and their interactions with other Asian countries has historically been problematic.

  • @yerk3

Yerk knows what he's talking about. Amina needs to incorporate other people's perceptions before talking out of her/his ass.

  • @yerk3

oh okk thnx for the info

  • @yerk3 When you say 'other Asian counties', which one are you talking about? China and Korea?

  • @tubexris China, Korea and the Philippines mainly, yes, though they also tried to conquer Vietnam once, which is never a good idea.

  • @yerk3 As far as I know, Japanese people are usually indifferent to the foreigners, and tolerant of them being different. It just turns negative when Japanese people feels they have been threatened or attacked.

    Just my 2 cents.

  • @tubexris There is a stray current of sudden, extreme national hubris and aggression that occasionally surfaces every few centuries. Japan didn't enter WWII because they felt threatened, they did so because they were trying to build an empire around the Pacific Rim. Same thing 300 years ago, when Toyotomi Hideyoshi tried to conquer China and Korea, and over 1,000 years before that, when Chinese accounts mentioned Japanese warlords and chieftains who had conquered parts of Korea.

  • @yerk3 yeah, but then that happens in everywhere.

  • Well, niggers look exactly like Gorillas. What's the problem? They do, don't they?Of course they do.

  • @BellumSacrumBellum28 Obvious troll is obvious.

  • it will always be racist

calling a black a monkey, ape, gorilla, chimp is all the same slander slavemasters used on them theyre bad as word nigger sometimes even worst

yes there is an uncanny resemblance but let's be specific monkeys have dark fur not dark skin black ppl have dark skin and dark hair

and actually white ppl have more body hair on them than black ppl.... hmmm

  • @man4nazi

    > im white

    dude, your neck is red

  • @man4nazi what are you mexican?

  • I remember that! lol I saw the news about the commercial one day and laughed my ass off at what dumbasses we can be. I agree that e-mobile is somewhat at fault, but you can't get upset with them. I don't know about the rest of the world... or even about America as a whole, but from what I've seen, we tend to call racism at the drop of a hat, even if we don't know the full contexts of a situation.

    It's kinda entertaining sometimes.

  • aha thats funny i live in japan im 13 and i have a soft bank phone but i live in iwakuni its by hiroshima(yes im american)

  • America notice it's on a CNN Governmental channel ONLY a commercial in Japan ? meant to arouse the natives, Is the monkey name George? Here cartoon George got someone in Florida in trouble. Why can't sick raciest people get outside themselves and understand it's the situation not some stupid race a bunch of weak sensitive egotistical maniacs with inferiority complexes. America is no longer the land of the brave but the land of chickenshits that is government ploys.

  • Got it and took it all wrong - why are sick people so much into themselves and cannot figure out it is not about them its about circumstance. The monkeys are in the audience the speaker is not even a citizen.

  • @man4nazi you're suck. nazi is a bad army.

  • i thought Japanese were called "monkey".

  • Humans, in general, look like monkeys because (although uneducated people don't understand) humans are HOMINIDS. Apes are HOMINIDS. To an advanced species just happening upon our planet on its way to somewhere else, humans would most ly be observed as advanced (using the term loosley) apes. Ignorant, uneducated, easily offended types should get over it. We ALL look like monkeys. Monkeys look like US. Let's stop dwelling on stupidity and move forward as humans. When is this idiocy going to end?

  • Comment removed

  • im sorry, but japan loves obama. how do i know? if you remember back when he was running, japan named a town obama, japan not far from toyko right before the 2008 elections. there u have it

  • I just find it hard to believe you were in a bar.

  • @Sammyboy1991

I used to practically live in bars, Sammy. Owned 2 and worked them. Glad those days are gone though. Gets old after a while.

  • This was not rascist at all, this was taken out of context.

If anybody who is looking to name rascists learned to read informaiton, that monkey is the companies logo/mascot.

    yes i like this ad.

  • That is, you don't always know who is working from stereotypes and who is (making) observations based on the individual.

  • Breakman, I get the story (that the lady didn't see the guy before she said it), but the guy's non-action only says to me that the guy probably understood that too. Therefore no need for him to say "hey that was racist". Which--if she saw him first--would have been an understandable argument to bring up, no matter what he looked like...to me, anyway. Mainly because those stereotypes DO exist and you don't always know who's indulging in them and who is observations based on individuals.

  • (Cont) recognize if and when we're thinking on those terms and continually question who and what are "normalized"--because I think a lot can go under the radar before we realize how messed up things really are. The backstory to the ad is cute, I think I might post why people in the USA might/would think the ad was racist for those in Japan. Without interruptions, that'll be a good eighteen-hour vid, lol. Thanks for hearing me out.

  • @Motionedout

    Thanks for the comment.

  • (Continued) If so, hey, great, but if not, you're thinking in the same subjectivity that I'm talking about--and I'm not saying it's a subjectivity that's always easy to step out of. Everyone's been brought up in some extent to think "that way"--it's been normalized. For example, I've never been to Japan, but I have no doubt the privilege of white people there exceeds that of foreigners of other races. That's how widespread that subjectivity is. Personally I think we need to (Cont)

  • Breakman, you're prob. not a racist, but what you said was racist. I'll explain: I'd argue that when you say someone, or a group of people look(s) a "like a monkey", it's not objective but subjective. And often that subjectivity stems from a White European POV that has been historically normalized. For example, do you look at brown-haired light-skinned white people and immediately think "chimpanzees" with the same quickness that you'd look at black people and think "gorillas"? (Continued)

  • @Motionedout

...do you look at brown-haired light-skinned white people and immediately think "chimpanzees" with the same quickness that you'd look at black people and think "gorillas"?

    -

Where you'd get that impression? I NEVER look at any group/race of people in general and think that.

In the story she says, "Watch it you big gorilla!" before she even turns around. And it was apparent to everyone that he did actually look like one. Individually some people look like animals. Not a race thing.

  • I really can't see how any foreigner can live in Japan and actually enjoy it. I worked there for 16 months and hated it till I finally left for Europe, got my TEFL certificate and began working for the public school system here in Korea. Korea might as well be on the other side of the planet, that is how different it is from Japan. I've been here for more than three years, and have been having a lovely time. Japan will always be the only place on my "never again list."

  • @JohnQRandom

Isn't that nice. I feel the same way about your mother.

    LOL!

Ah, that was mean, but seriously, what do you want? There are happy people living everywhere. You happen to have hated it. I've been to Korea a few times. Nice place to visit and I suppose I could live there, but then I could live anywhere.

  • @Gimmeabreakman

    Yo momma.

  • @JohnQRandom

Dude, you just copied me! How about some creativity! LOL!

  • @Gimmeabreakman

    Okay okay, here goes...

You big poopy face! You're such a poopy face!!

  • @JohnQRandom

    That's better, Garlic Breath!

  • @Gimmeabreakman

    LOL! Awesome exchange!

  • He was a silver back to fear.

  • 2 of the links in your description have been deleted -- i can't find the racist video.

  • @modewr

    It's here.

    watch?v=OePrBHm303g

  • This dude is in denial...

  • is crystal meth legal in Japan?

  • Lol, even after two years Victor is still getting hate-mail from ignorant monkeys. Hehe, like the pun do you? Didn't think so! This is serious business alright!!!

  • This guy probally has a cool story but i can't understand a word of it..can someone please post a re upload of this video in english, i can't speak arabic.

  • The monkey associated with any kind of legends or anything positive like the Monkey or some derivative is a Macaque. That commercial featured a chimp which is totally different and not related. Also the only reason that first situation didn't go insane was because it was a man and a woman. If it were a Black woman the Japanese lady probably wouldn't have said anything and BW got called a gorilla, monkey or whatever it's quite possible it would have been Chernobyl like there.

  • Sorry dude...racist on both counts and I was trying to like you, thought you were semi-cool, but you're just another ass that would want to pass off racism as anti-politically correct. Somehow I doubt you would take it as lightly if someone commented on "Being Terrorist" if you got aggressive about an overcharge, cuz you kind of look Arab. People don't go around calling people they don't know non-cute animals without some derogatory intention. The commercial is racist too considering

  • lol Dam americans and other people need to get over the race card. Racism is everywhere get over it.

  • @gimmeabreakman

you are actually racist don't know if you know it or not.

  • @blackspittle

You are actually an idiot. I don't know if you know it or not.

See how punctuation can help a sentence?

  • @Gimmeabreakman YOUR RACIST AND FUCK PUNCTUATION

  • lame

  • he is some crazy fuckedd upp guy !

  • @xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxy1

    What is hypocritical?

  • lol people have to get over the racist thing.

  • @tombslasher ok just ignore the obvious as it pertains to injustice

  • lol this dude tells a story good

  • Oh so you're the guy they made fun of in that video about vbloggers! I can see why.

  • @Andreazor

    Link please.

  • @Gimmeabreakman

It might be you, it might not be. I don't even know who it really is. You just look a lot like him. And judging from peoples reactions to this... not that far off.

  • Your hair looks like gorilla hair I guess you have something in common with those gorillas after all .When the europeans gave the aztecs small pox for purpose that wasnt racism ,they just wanted to show you how much they like America and mexico .

You have a great understanding ,with people like you hate will just keep going round and round peace .

  • didnt the nigger brown chair come from japan

  • @wookyz1

I don't like racism, but even worse -- perhaps -- is seeing stupidity. Like your comment.

  • thumbs upp!!!

  • Omg. Shut Up And Show The Damn Video...

  • @SoggyFrenchToast yes I totally agee. No brains all mouth.

  • @DiabloTheGames

How touching. Two trolls comfort each other over their mental inefficiencies. Gives me hope for the human race!

  • @Gimmeabreakman the truth always hurt.

  • @Gimmeabreakman Nawh bro its nothing like dat im just tired of like people talking like 9 minutes... i mean i like your videos, but you just talk...

  • that's funny, I would've thought racist to , but to me, we're all the same. And it was a great Idea , I would prefer a black monkey over a white dog, shoot, I prefer black monkey over white devil over here in america, but where organisms and we adapt. given enough time a monkeys turn into devils and devils into monkeys, it's happening here, they just need to have fun with there commercial. Peace

  • im reporting this for false advertisement

  • every person looks a little like a monkey because we are related to them, ohoh ah ah, big deal.

  • @PieceofMindmusic

    Some people look like rodents.

  • damn this guy talks alot..and he looks more like a chihuaha or how ever u spell it... no racial term inteded

  • Why should Japan care what people in the US think

  • Wait, he showed the ad? Ok kewl.

  • exactly

  • @mrpiddles069

    Bingo!

  • wow ..

  • @mrpiddles069

    Woo!

  • lol, its so funny how theres like 300 trolls including me and you try battling them in an epic comment but you fail sometimes and when you win people keep going. Lol soo funny

  • dude your racist

  • the fuking T-shirt guy looks so much more racist than the commrcial

  • and yes he was african american

  • is that a power mac 9500 i see in the background?!?!

  • @caitlynnmarie100

LOL! I'm 62 years old. I'm too old to be trying to be funny. It's funny that you think this was an attempt to be funny. Not at all. Though I do have those videos and have probably failed miserably. This, however, was just educational.
