the propchecy MIGHT have had a PvE mission runner fit. I don't fit a web on my Battlecruiser for hisec missions, but I also never EVER go without a full set of Scout Drones, and I never take that fit into lowsec or fight other players. Using Standard Frequency crystals at that range is just fail though.

When is Merlin passive shield tanked and keep good range without mwd, using afterburners and is medium to high skilled, not a single beginer pilot in cruiser or battlecruiser have a chance to win. microwave M and Infrared M

+20 and +40 % optimal range. PvE fit.

@zaxxxus I accept that the prophecy pilot was fail fit with a shield tank and no drones or web. But a comment below does say how it could have been a mission running BC. I don't regularly fit webs to those =/

In relation to crystals. Have you ever tried to hit a frigate at that range and speed using multifreq's? Its impossible. He had a decent chance with a micro/infra crystals. They have much better tracking.

Of course its totally possible the drones were shot down.
