  • This is a solo song by George. You incorrectly put John's name in the title. This song isn't about John, either.

  • Two gods helping us on the Other World. Help us living here. Blessed be both of you!

  • beutiful song written by george, he borrowed the words peace on earth from jhon

  • i feel.....I loveeeee this song....so much....

    makes me feel intense...

  • in this notes i hear all the love he sowed, all the love he had inside, unforgettable, thumb up forever!

  • A Person cannot be "One of Four Partners" without having an intense Relationship with Each of the other Partners.

Each Relationship would be quite special, and quite intense, without any Question (IMHO).

I suspect that some might be "Seeing too much" here, between George and John.

    NDL

  • I love George, John, this video, and this song... But at 1:50, what is George doing with his arms?!

  • Thank you so much for this... Must have taken a lot of effort, and just wanted to let you know it's appreciated :)

  • Everyone should use this song as an alarm in the morning so they'll have no problem waking up.

  • rip george you were the best beatle !!!!

  • los beatles eran dios !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • "Keep me free from birth". Let me see you, George fans, comment on this one! I am a George fan too, so here's a hint:

You don't take nothing with you but your soul, Think!

  • @PsihedelichniatYogi look up the words, numbnuts. George fans know those aren't the words.

  • @coopfan

'R u talking about "keep me free from birth"? those ARE the words, bro. A bit too Hindu for your taste? Peace!

  • @tubulous LMAO. Another mondegreen moment for me. : thought the line was 'free as a bird'. My absolute mistake, and my apology offered. Not too Hindu, just missin' Georgie...

  • @mikamamma - The footage at 2:47 and 2:55 is from when George performed on Saturday Night Live (with Paul Simon!) in 1976. As I recall, they did "Here Comes the Sun" and "Homeward Bound."

  • Sem dúvida George Harrison era o músico que eu mais me identicava. Adorava não só suas letras, mas principalmente as melodias! Vídeo excelente!

  • "I"-'Think'-It Needs More: "BANG"!!! >(*U^)<

  • george yeh he was a beatle than he became a man true to himself.

  • R.I.P Dark Horse.

  • Nice video montage but wouldn't of worked better for his song "All those Years Ago" which as you know as about John Lennon?

  • THANKS!

  • you know, this song to me kind of sounds like a prayer. We really need George. :(

  • vrm une belle chanson j'espere que quelqu'un pensera la faire jouer a mes funerail

  • well that was fun, we should dance around the kitchen again. Ignore those people bickering

  • John had nothing to do with this song. All George.

  • @gnarlygnargnar

True..REAL Beatle fans would KNOW that!

  • This song touched my heart, John and George were like spirits in their quest for peace and love.

  • It probably was a tough situation for George, you know?, he's trying to shine through & show his talent both as a musician & song writer, while constantly being overshadowed by the very prolific writing team of John & Paul, can anyone hear what I'm sayin' here???? Like maybe he would have gained ALOT more recognition & respect if he'd been in different, more average band than the Beatles. (I'm not counting The Traveling Wilburys, since that was much later.)

  • Always loved this tune ,OM George.

  • 1:15 being a Beatle must not have been that bad...

  • Guys, miss you.

  • lennon+harrison= forever

  • This was George Harrison's song.....Jerk Lennon had nothing to do with it....Lennon was a piece of shit who treated George Harrison badly.

  • @CurtisHalfHalf How do you know that?!

  • @BurnThePr1esT How do I know what?..that Lennon treated Harrison badly?, its the account of the others present, George Martin, Paul etc.

  • Harrison only, Lennon didn't co-write these.

  • It's unfortunate that it seems that Harrison has received more respect with his influence on the Beatles and respect as a musician after his death.

  • @TACOMARANGER yeah but he had a lot of admiration and respect while he lived too. For example "All things Must Pass" 3-album with My Sweet Lord was HUGE. He kind of bloomed after the Beatles so fans had to be a bit dedicated. "Living in the Spiritual World" is a very good CD by the way--some very beautiful songs. That's where this song "Give Me Love. ." is from.

  • Very nice. I love this song, and your vid is great!

  • I'm really not sure how I got through this video long enough to post it. Those close know why.

  • Umm, this "story thing" I guess it's ok, but having Lennons name in the title also implies lennon took part in the writing. And so it wasn't. Ohhh, Lennon, the ever present ghost!

  • RIP George and John

  • I guess this is when George understood that rebirth wasn't a good thing - I really miss him and it was eerie seeing him sitting with John in the video - the only two that are no longer with us - Wow I wish he were here - truly a shy sweet person

  • GOD doesn't make mistakes and if anyone want's proof then listen to this song and you will see GODs perfection made manifest by George.

  • George was so inspiring- as were/are all the Beatles and many other old musicians.-RIP musicians nad others who die too soon

  • Give me love, hope, peace on earth...what else? LIFE? George has long been gone but his songs continue to inspire many. Songs like this one though mellow keeps me upbeat and bubbly.

  • out of all the beatles I think Ringo starr was the better friend from the beatle years to the break up and afterwards.Anyone agree?

  • GRAH.

That was very bittersweet and well done. :D I loved it when John began to give George those looks (you know the ones), but George was never looking back. <3

I actually saw this a while back but never commented. :O That was the first time I'd heard "Give Me Love" and now I'm obsessed with it. XD

  • @nafruito Thanks so much for the nice comment! :) Exactly the kinda encouragement I needed after the day I had... So thanks a lot! x3

  • @nafruito Could you pls explain what you mean "those looks"? I'd just want to make sure we are on the same page... BTW, I noticed that George was never looking back...

  • Where is the footage from at 2:47 and 2:55 where George is playing in the beautiful amber lighting? Also is the short clip at 1:10 from the promo vid they made for "Something"?

  • @mikamamma ^^° The third is from "The Beatles - Come Together live" on youtube. I can't find the first two any more, they are from Post-Beatles-Harrison singing... don't know what. =3

  • @CaffeineClown Sorry, the clip I was actually referring to is the one just before the come together live one. I guess the number is actually 1:09; it's super short~only plays till 1:10. It's of George and it looks like he's outside somewhere in nature. Do you remember where that might be from??? Is it from "Something" maybe?

  • @mikamamma I recognize it! From "The Beatles - Across The Universe [HQ] Take2 1968 Version long" (channel: jedaimanko) on youtube there's a HQ-Version from it. :)

  • @mikamamma the 1:10 is from the Beatles promo video for Come together, 2:47-55 is definitely post Beatles-I think its at the Concert for Bagladesh 1971 since the light at the concert was red-orange

  • @mikamamma wasn't it from George with Paul Simon

  • @TheRomanGuard huh??? Sorry, it's been awhile and I'm a little confused by your comment. Wasn't what from George with Paul Simon?

  • @mikamamma At 2:46 - 2:51, the clip I think was from a tv show with George Harrison as guest on Paul Simon's TV show.

  • @TheRomanGuard pretty sure it was from Saturday Night Live show with Paul Simon as the host--they played Here Comes the Sun and I believe Homeward Bound--it's on a best of SNL tape

  • legalizse pot now!!!!

  • i brush my like that at 0:09

  • Poor John and George. I miss them everyday! R.I.P.

  • @TheFabFour14 I miss them too

  • " . . . Give me peace on earth! . . . "

    "Won't you please, oh won't you please . . . ?"

Wish it would happen today! Great song, great lyrics, great era.

  • We all know that will never happen.Peace is a state of mind as is Heaven and if smoking a little wacky tobacky gets you there,,there is nothing wrong with that in my humble opinion

  • @ASeasonedWitch Right on.

...and the longing way he cries that line you just so know how truly deeply he felt this

I always love the way he holds the 'om' after singing 'soul'...beautiful, just beautiful.

  • great music I really love it forever of my life

  • Where did you get the last "footage" of Paul playing guitar with his back to the camera? I've never seen it.

  • @davism5 It's a scene from their Shea-Stadium-concert. Somewhere at the beginning. :)

  • they all played together at one point or another after the breakup.

god i love the beatles sooo much ):

  • sadly, except paul and john. what a pity

  • Check out 'a toot and a snore in 74' for Lennon and McCartney playing together post Beatles.

  • GOOD song but u are100 percent wrong harrison wrote a book where me mentions lennon 6 times...lennon helped harrison when paul said im not helping u write

  • I'm sorry but you totally missed the point I was trying to make. Maybe you're of a different generation or something but I really find making an argument over this stuff unimportant and I really don't want to discuss it further. . . . . . end of transmissions.

  • Who cares if The Beatles weren't creating music at 5 years old? It's absurd to criticize one artist over the accomplishments of another. It's irrelevant. Was their music original, thought provoking, inspiring, unique, well-crafted? Mozart and The Beatles were all those things to those who appreciate them as artists. That's the only criteria that really matters. Music is about creation, not competition.

  • Music is supposed to unite us all not divide us through silly arguments. You think Mozart of Lennon wasted their time arguing about what styles they were playing? They just made music. So come on let's sit back and enjoy what these genuises gave us. Life's short as it is. And yeah, give me love!

  • CC, My context is pop culture. In Mozart's time, classical music was at the forefront of pop culture. Classical music means nothing to pop culture now. Rock and Soul are pop culture today. The closest I've ever heard to the appreciation of classical music on a top 100 station was 'A Fifth of Beethoven' and it was a disco ripoff. I'd like to go 100 years into the future and hear what passes for top 100 then. I'm sure it won't sound anything like today's music, Will instruments even be played?

  • I don't think that the instruments will change like crazy, we still have most of Mozarts stuff (I guess). If I understand it right now you miss old times in which MJ-hits were in the Top 10...? And that there's nothing new coming from him. I had similar feelings when Harison died. Surely that's kinda mourning work, but new things will come and will (may) be based on the old stuff. They may disregard the forerunner in the future but their future is built on it. Everything was (is) necessary.

  • Long ago I really loved the Beatles but all these years later I see how really meaningless it all was. MJ has died and I'm beginning to see how really meaningless all that he did was. I read about Motzart years ago and how he was regarded as a superstar like Elvis. Yeah, the girls and some of the boys wanted him. Funny how we disregard him today but in a few hundred years the Beatles and MJ will be regarded as nothings just like Amadeus is now. Dust in the wind however big we think they are.

  • Oj, that sounds sad, but Mozart means something to many people today. His music made him remain in a way in today's world. I have a CD from his piano concerts, very relaxing. ;) If MJ remains, time will show. I'm sure his music survives us both at least. :) That's all that can matter to us.

  • Your opinion about what music will stand the test of time is just your speculation, it isn't a fact or anything. Only time will tell. But when people look back at the history of recorded music, I'm confident that The Beatles, as well as Mozart, will still stand out. Why? Because they move people with their art. My daughter accidentally played an old VHS tape of "A Hard Day's Night" one day. She was born over 25 years after it came out. She became a Beatle fan after she saw it. Good art lives on.

  • um, are you fucking retarded or something? you must be hanging out with high school students infatuated with the "awesomeness" of fall out boy and other mediocre talentless bands. if mozart was regarded as a "nothing" then there would be no philharmonic orchestras and pianists playing his music. there would not be music courses in universities studying his concertos. and the beatles? 40 years later and they are still selling millions

  • Back off Bugalloo

  • well the beatles are still selling albums yes but where does all that money go? cuz harrison and lennon shure aint getting it unless they set the money on their graves

  • well, what would you propose we do then? slip a few bills through the coffin? the point isn't how much money they are still making (macca and ringo are doing fine im sure) but it is a testament about their music is STILL being heard around the world. mozart and beethoven are not making any money themselves, so that is a fruitless argument

  • Well i am a kid and know for sure that mozart and betthoven arent making money from their songs because kids these days want fast rockn roll stuff not that slow boring stuff it pretty but not fast enough the only reason the beatles are alive is because these parents give the beatles cds to there kids and then it passes on but now the beatles rock band is out and they are more famouse than ever i dont understand how these kids just idk sit around on a computer ( like me) and do nothing else.

  • well, first of all, you spelled beethoven's name wrong. i bring this up because that offends me as a musician. and yes, that is a good point i did not think about. i dont think though you should go as far to say there is no money, there are some classical musicians that are famous/wealthy. and if kids don't have to like it. not everyone still likes the bee gees, hair metal, or KISS. it is good enough for todays generation to like them, so i think that says a lot about their music....

  • Well i spelled his name wrong so what I mean like those ppl made their music years ago when every body was sooo pleasant and not as wild and crazy as they are today so why does it matter to every body that some body went broke? And then when they die they are guna be famouse again and that will show that ppl dont take the time to listen

  • just to let you know, i was really drunk when i wrote that last post, so that is why i stated the beethoven bit and had a few typos. but i still think he deserves that bit of respect though. if your life achievements were great, im sure you wouldn't like some kid disrespecting you. and i couldn't quite make out whatever point you were trying to make. can you rephrase your question so i at least know who you are talking about, your comment was extremely confusing.

  • i am trying to say ppl back then had pleasant songs but ppl want rockers like me cuz we are kids and so like we dont want that pleasant stuff so why do we care they are broke??

  • that is an interesting point, but i think that is obvious. you have no interest in the classical market so its well being is not going to matter to you. but for other people who do care, preservation is important! rock music is not on top of the market place anymore. hip hop is on top with pop music shortly behind. however, retro music is "back" so that explains the new interest in the beatles, led zepplin, the rolling stones, pink floyd, etc.... they are not going away anytime soon either

  • Well EXCUSE me maybe i dont care MAYBE no kids are that BORING omg i am REALLY AMD not at u I JUST ANGRY

  • why are you angry?? that is just the way the market goes. why would you comment on something if you are apathetic about it?

  • dude wat r u talking about i dont know big words

  • You should be in the special class or something.

  • What kind of class? lol

  • I tried to read this. Ever heard of punctuation?

  • @svartskegg what cant u read? I really dont know what ur goin on about but, watev

  • @thedrewabides88 Billions at this point.

  • "Love One Another" - Harrison's last words should last forever!

  • @comeonfuckingcunt THAT, coming from a person whose user name is "comeonfuckingcunt"~now THAT'S classic right there! Too funny!!! ;)

  • a song from my deepest soul...Love, Peace on earth and Happiness;o)

  • You're welcome

  • Ya know, CaffeineClown, after John & George tripped on LSD together they were very close and had a "mental" understanding that was very intense indeed...and it shows in footage of that era. They even continued to work together for a time after the Beatles' break-up. Peace.

  • ^^! Thanks for the information!

  • And the time will come when you see we're all one, and life flows on within you and without you.

  • awesome vid!!

    this song is sooo beautiful!

  • all the beatles smoked, as did most in the 50-60s, think they stopped, whilst the stones still do and the rest and still performing, dont know how you avoid being shot. Somethings fate. loved and miss both.

  • CaffeineClown - "Harrison is remembering the times when he adored Lennon but Lennon hardly ever recognized him (only the girls, hehe). So Harrison began to ignore Lennon. Hereupon Lennon tried to win Harrisons attention back, but Harrison had already stopped regarding him."

did Harrison really said something like that? Where did you find it? I've never found many George's quotes about John and I'm realy dying for it!!

  • I'm sorry, thats only fictional, the story behind the video. Harrison never said sth. like that. ^^°

  • this is on a new album in the uk called * let it roll* george harrison, lovely jublee ;D

  • i cant beleive john and george are dead two of the greatest song writers of well ever

  • i love u..........George..........u will be remember when we enter the future....and eternity

  • R.I.P boys! =(

    wonderful song!

  • whos the chic @ 2:15 ?

  • No idea, she's cute, that's why she's in. ^^

  • I guess the Beatles are synonymous with screaming girlz!!!! Im sure your right....

  • She is.

  • Thx for this video. The comments about The Beatles being so close are so touching. I just wish John hadn't been killed at such a young age and that George would have stopped smoking. It's got to be tough for Paul and Ringo, as reminders are everywhere... I love Paul's tribute song to John --"Here Today". What a friendship -- two songwriting geniuses. All four -- pretty special guys. God bless The Beatles!!

  • Couldn't have said it better myself. It must be hard for them. The fact that two of thier dearest friends have moved on to the next world and that both situations could have been avoided.

  • Lennon 4evr - what do you mean by avoided ? Was George's cancer from smoking too much ?

  • What I mean by avoided is that both situations of death could have been avoided by choice. I need to start using better choice of words =/

  • I think you meant 3 songwriters and 1 sweet lovable oaf. Please dont ever leave George out of that trio because thats was an issue for them in life. That they didnt get the right respect from eachother.

  • i love George's vioce on this song :)

  • you know what? ive noticed that rock groups and just ordinary people aren't as close today as in the 60s or 70s. i mean just look at the pic at 1:46 . you dont see boys these days get as close as that now do ya. come on people! get closer, have compassion! we're all human! we're all like brothers! lets get closer like the beatles!

  • Just found these clips and this comment. How things have changed in so many many ways and for the worse. GIVE ME LOVE seems to be a special song. George pleads for love and, boy, do we all need some of that. Miss him so very much.

  • He was born the same day as I.

Found that out after he died.

But loved his voice all my life.

  • Every year that passes I appreciate The Beatles more and more. I'm grateful to have seen Ringo live in 2008 and if Paul comes around I will not miss it. Imagine a tour with Paul and Ringo. That would be a dream come true.

  • It's sad that George and John never had a chance to reconcile with each other. When John died in 1980, he hadn't spoken to George in a few years and they still had a few "issues" between them.

  • beautiful, thanks!

  • I liked the video but harrison and lennon were pretty good friends all the the beatles had their fights and such, but it was only the younger years that he didn't notice during the later years like abbey road and then after words they worked together, but asome vid.

  • after the beatles break up, all the beatles still worked together once in a while except john and paul

  • Although apparently they had a long jamming session together with Stevie Wonder in the late Seventies and at one point juring Lennon's retirement McCartney kept on going round to Lennon's house with a guitar but eventually John told him to arrange a visit before hand and told him not to just turn up because he was raising a child. Paul took this as an insult because of the way it was said, so stopped visiting. Then the phone calls started and they only ever argued on the phone about Apple corp.

  • I love and miss George and John so much it's crazy.

    RIP :(

  • miss both of them... badly...

  • It was a sorrowful day when we lost John and again when we lost George, the two greatest musicians. They are always with us, their music will live forever. Rip John and George

  • That is a big-ass thumbs up dude.. Peace, love and laughter! :)

  • shine on georgeyou are the best

  • There's no doubt the Beatles were the best and still are to me, and not only as a band, each Beatle is simply awesome, John and Paul have had more hits, but George's songs are the best to me, every bit as good or better than John's or Paul's best. But all three are awesome to me :)

  • What about Ringo, he's had: Octopus's Garden, Phototgraph (with George), I'm the Greatest (written by John), It Don't Come Easy, Back off Boogaloo, Early 1970 (which is sweet), Your'e Sixteen, Your'e Beautiful (and Your'e Mine) (a cover) and Never Without You (about George after his death).

  • it dont come easy harrison helped ringo with to.

  • How could you leave out Ringo's 1974 hit "The No No Song" by Hoyt Axton?

Ringo took it to Number 3 on the U.S. charts!

  • Hello, i love this music, gracias!

  • I love George's music, but I agree that John's music is far superior (with the exception of Abbey Road - Something, Here Comes the Sun)

  • From where is the video at 2:54 with George singing, please?

  • Saturday Night Live performance. He sang 'Here Comes the Sun' with Paul Simon.

  • two my lovely Beatles in one great tribute

    it's something!

    Thank you

love the one picture at 00.23

    WE MISS YOU!!!!!! (

  • Great tribute to the greatest band in the world!

  • Bit of a gay story but nice to get this great song on youtube. Good footage too.

  • everyones a fucking critic, try writing a hit song yourself sometime let me know when you have enough money to by your private island...? what ? yeah i didnt think so you closet fag!

  • XD A new George-song, great!

You needn't love George's songs, it's a question of taste (that's a german phrase translated word by word, I hope it's understandable). But it's absolutely necessary to love the Beatles! ^^y Confirmed!

  • sometimes simplicity speaks loudest...

  • God what a gorgeous song. I LOVE THEM!!!

  • This song always makes me cry.....sweet memories of youth...sweet beautiful boys. I miss them both.

  • This song always makes me cry...sweet memories of youth...sweet beautiful boys. I miss them both.

  • Lovely! :D Liked the story, your videos are amazing.

  • Love this song, and excellent job making a little story with the pictures.

  • I really enjoyed that:-)

  • This is so cute.

  • Nice perspective!

  • Brilliant!
