I loved it when Jim would hit the wrong note, on purpose, of course, on his "Swing Low" part, and the others would try to get him straightened out. It was funny.
I'm spoiled to the Imperials singing this song. One other group does it quite well but this is the best. Armond Morales has a wonderful bass voice. This IS as good as it gets!!! Wonderful harmony and chemistry.
Its nice to c these members together again. I pray that those all bad sentiments are behind and forgotten and forgiven. I would choose the quartet of 1967-1972 as the best tight harmonies.
These guys are FORMER members of The Imperials--Murray is retired for the most part, Blackwood and Andrus are in a group now called Elvs' imperials and Morales is in a group called The Classic Imperials. They all still have wonderful voices and are all 4 master talents.
This is REAL quartet singing! NO imitation for these 4: Terry, Jim, Sherman, and the original Armond. The best four voices to sing together, just ask Daniel Boone?????
Jim Murray, Terry Blackwood, Sherman Andrus, and, of course, the incomparable, the one and only Armond Morales, "The smoothest bass you'll ever hear." Right Jim?
yeap, they are good but not as other I heard...

They sound just as good as when I saw them for the first time in 1976! Only thing missing is Joe Moscheo. Some of the best harmonizers ever!!

Ladies and gentlemen... the REAL thing.
Left to right:
Jim Murray, Terry Blackwood, Sherman Andrus, and, of course, the incomparable, the one and only Armond Morales, "The smoothest bass you'll ever hear." Right Jim?
