Amazing the attn paid 2 the issue of "lousy teachers." NO ONE enters the profession 2 b lousy or lazy. No1 is stupid enough 2: teaching is 1 of the HARDEST careers out there. No1 enters it 2 get paid 4 easy work or 2 get rich. Teaching doesn't work like that! Any1 w/ brains should then go 2 the next obvious question: WHY are the "lousy" teachers "lousy"? WHY??? Is professional development effective? R there mentor teachers? Administrative issues? "They're lousy" is TOO EASY. I'm surprised at GC.
@evethezealot Well, if you haven't seen "Waiting For Superman", I would def. suggest that. There is a section in there that highlights what he means by lousy teachers.
@blackras Yeah. I still believe both he & the film focused 2 much on "bad teachers" & not enuf on Y those teachers r bad. Not enuf attn is paid 2 teacher mentoring, professionl dvlopment, etc. As he said, it takes YRS 2 bcome a good teacher. But he failed 2 say what he DOES to support their dvlopment & 2 much abt how they need 2 b fired. If they keep giving teachers a bad name, which applies only 2 a small %age of them, they shouldnt be surprised when few people will want 2 enter the profession.
I highly suggest that next time you try to defend something and want to be taken seriously, that you write in some form of English that is comprehendible.
shoutout to Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Incorporated Alpha Upsilon Chapter and Geoffrey Canada on a great impression for the community!!
