I love his playing in every way, but does anyone else feel a lack of warmth in his playing? Looking at his facial expressions and movements, he is obviously trying to create a sense of warmth in his playing in certain passages, but the sound does not come out. He feels it, and i feel it too from looking at him, but the sound doesn't correspond. maybe its just me.... :/
Wow! He combines such strength on the strings with lyricism and flawless technique. Tugs at such a range of emotion!

Not often I get goosebumps from this concerto except from Mutter of course, but the last minute in this section you can feel the music right through!

ok, i listened to the slow sweet passages again and again.
I love his playing but the warmth and sensuality is just not there! it's almost frustrating lol.
I really WANT it to be there, but i don't hear it :(

He is one of my favorite violinists.

He actually won the 3rd prize, it was Altenberger from Germany who got 2nd with the Shostakovich Concerto.

@PotterGirl93 Thx, I have changed it! I'll put the Altenberger up if I can.

He has it. Something truly special about his interpretation. When I hear his playing, it reminds me of a Kyung Wha Chung. I can tell he'll be great.
