  • The speed limiter in these things is so fucking weird. I think it actually applies the BRAKES when you hit 105.

  • @SuperJeepz That sounds like the Chrysler 300m we have in the other video. Seems pretty dangerous to me

  • @SuperJeepz uh my 2002 dont have a limiter on it i was goin 130 on the way to the hospital in my 3.7 sport once

  • @SuperJeepz I got mine to 108 one time, and if it applied the brakes I didn't notice..

It didn't even stop accelerating, I just had to turn so I slowed down

  • I got my 04 liberty 3.7L v6 up to 190mph. I have a k and n cold air intake, magna flow exhaust, and upgraded fuel injectors

  • @KTMrider908

    No, you didn't.

I can see 190 km/h, but certainly not mph.

To push the Jeep Liberty through the air at 190mph would require well over 700hp.

The most I see you getting from the V6 with those upgrades, is 250hp.

  • is this a 4 cylinder?

  • jeeps rock, i need to upgrade to a srt8 too

  • Clutch drops in mine from 5k in a 2.4 does it in the low 9s.

  • it sounds like its dying

  • does the liberty really only hit 112 plz say ur lieing lol its seems faster

  • My stock liberty likes to go 0-60 in the 8 to 9 second range. But it has a speed limiter in at at 105mph :[

  • i have a jeep liberty 3.7 the fastest ive gotten it is 112mph and it does 0-60 in about8.8sec it does have exhaust on it though and i can get it to go faster i just ran out of room

  • in live in the uk so the liberty is called the cherokee, now in the performance specs it states that the no to 60 is 10.8s, so how come yours is like 9? im talking bout the 3.7 btw

  • @smitz94 I'm pretty sure it's supposed to get mid nines

  • y u didnt go full throttle. i drive a 2002 jeep lyberty and mine shifts a 7,500 rpm when i punch it

  • @corycash2006 I have to call B.S no stock jeep comes with a tranny that can handle 7500 rpm that like sport cars rpm

  • @MrSkdoosh and i looked up not even a corvette shifts at 7500 rpm

  • @MrSkdoosh the original rev limiter limits the jeep to 6,500 rpm. I had my limiter reset to 7,500. The engine can Handel 8,000 but jeep dialed it back to reduce engine wear for leadfoot people like me. And the tranny is capeable of 7,500 rpm. Only because. The liberty doesn't put out sports car power.

  • @corycash2006 If I use the shifter it will only let me shift at just around 6,000 rpms...

    You're full of crap.

  • @soccerpro1116 i reset my rev limiter u imbecile

  • i just go a 2003 jeep liberty sport i love it it has the 3.7

  • yeah man pop it into first overdrive off and you can rock this car off the line. so spunky and fun ill keep this car forever.

  • @wakesurfer1414 it's a Chrysler, you'll be lucky if it lasts 100k miles. Good luck.

  • @ChrisHS2000 luck if it lasts 100K miles?

    my dad's old jeep ( 91' comanche ran 430,000km

he sold it in 2001 to a farmer. the truck is still in service, last i saw it, it was at over 502,XXXkm ( that was around 3 years ago )

    502,XXX KM = 312,XXXmiles

THATS DAM GOOD :P not all chryslers are shit :P

  • Throw it down to first and shift dude! You get so much more that way...I own an '04.

  • Mine goes in 8 sec in average RPM.

  • today i raced my honda civic si against my friends 2004 jeep liberty, i won, but i thought for sure he'd wreck my shit. i like libertys.

  • that a v6? we have a 3.7L v6

  • turn over drive off....you get better acceleration that way

  • I have that same color jeep :D

  • jeep rocks !

  • I know for a fact my Liberty is quicker than that, but I have the 5 speed manual and I got rid of the air box, just a cone filter on the end. It does a lot for the car's overall performance =D

  • i know for a fact that you can go faster that in a v6 jeep.i have driven my friends jeep a few times and did a 0-60 in almost 2 seconds quicker then they did. plus i was shifting too i didnt leave in drive because im not a noob!

  • I never leave any car in drive, lol i have a 81 caprice ss im always in second :DD best gear ever

  • hahahahaha i smoked a piece of shit integra today in my jeep srt8, what a shitty ricer hahahahahaahahahaha

  • Ok.

Post videos Of your " SRT 8 " Then. If you have the money for a SRT 8 I'm sure You have enough money for a camera.

  • 9 sec thats hybrid acceleration lol

  • your tags say its the inline four, but isnt it the 3.7 v6?

  • I think your right actually

  • faster than the rx-7...

  • yeah, my rx7 needs to be rebuilt soon. it has 168000 miles on it. Also rx7s are made more for handling, not speed.

  • the mid-to-late 90's rx-7s are, or can be, pretty fast from my experiance.

  • mine is an 83, it was fast at it's time. the main reason i got a 1st gen is because they are extremely light and with the proper mods they can be extremely fast

  • word, with 80's camaros you need either a generous portion of mods on a TPI 350 or a new engine for it to be decently fast.

0-60 in less than 6 seconds, 1/4 of less than 14 seconds.

same with other 80's sports cars such as fox body 'stangs.

rebuilt motors are a good foundation to start an older sports car project but money can be an issue. that's why i got my 98 z28, it won't need a rebuild for a good long while as long as i don't beat it to death.

  • I love the ol' school RX-7's! 12A teardrop ports are my fav. rotaries.

  • Nice Jeep,I like ur BMW wayy bettter!!

  • i got 9.3 seconds.

  • I got a few different times so I averaged them. But yea that could be right.

  • yeah but with the camera angle the needle actually hits 60 quicker than you see it hit 60
