Here is a video that covers almost all the reasons why I love Kauai! Truly spectacular views! It is one of the most gorgeous places on earth. Particularly the North Shore. If you have not been, you need to go as soon as possible. They have some of the best vacation properties around. Take a look at Kauai Vacation Rentals. They have a great Facebook page.
ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL! Nothing is better than a tropical getaway and spending some time having fun in the sun! I heard Kauai Vacation Rentals has great deals; I should really give them a try planning my next trip!
Excellent video, I did a similar tour with inter-island a few years ago. I think they are about $250 per person. Doors off makes taking photographs so much easier. Thanks for posting
@RobertPettifer videos are where its at, photographs are something you do when you have a abundance of time, not when you have less than an hour to get around the whole island and spend like 250 bucks and come back with 20 photos, when you could have like 50 minutes of video.
@Imakeplanesboom I did the Doors off helicopter ride so there wasn't an option for 3 hours, all I Wanted was pictures, and Doors on helicopters give lots of glare, but for the average person doors on is good.
@Imakeplanesboom did you take nice pictures? i mean that i'd like to have a look at the Nā Pali Coast State Park (and many other places) very carefully and take nice pictures, but i don't know if on a helicopter it turns out to be a good idea (for the targets i have)... do you have time to realize that you're there or do you go through it fast?
@14Squeez You definitely realized you were there. It wasn't like the other tours that just fly you around for an hour and kick you out. The pilot was nice and we stayed out for a few hours. We spent a good 45 minutes at the waterfall too, pretty cold but a once in a lifetime experience.
@newtothelight pretty much all the helicopter companies on the island offer very similar tours and show you all these same views. When we were there we chose Jack Harter because they offered helicopters with no doors or glass enclosing the passenger area which was great for taking photos and not having to worry about glare or reflection looking through glass. And of course being in the open air made the ride even that much more thrilling! Most exciting thing I have ever done in my life...
@RedroomStudios Thank you for the reply. I was seriously looking at Jack Harter so this just helped me make my decision. Thanks again for the advice, it is greatly appreciated.
@CGrievy - Thanks, Bob Forrest really does sound like Dylan! I like this version better than Dylans, this one just flows so nicely. So... Bob Forrest covering Dylan covering a traditional? Either way, I like what it came out to be in the end!
are you sure it isn't Dylan? It shows him as writer on some of the lyric websites. You can find the song on Bootleg Serie vol 1-3 out in 1991 but sounds like old Dylan and one site has it in 1961. Still looking for unknown writer on his site. Great video very professional. what kind of camcorder??
I looked into it a bit... seems to be a traditional song, writer unknown, probably because he was busy moonshinin'! This has got to be my favorite version though, does anyone know what album this came from? Where can I find this?
It's an old irish folk song as far as I can tell, but I guess Dylan changed a lot of the lyrics and the arrangement for his version... so there ya go... grey area
Just got to go to Maui & Kauai'i. It really is heaven on earth!! Everyone you run into is smiling all day every day it seems... with good reason. Thank you for the fine video, I use it to show everyone I know the beauty of Hawaii. Great job & I for one think this Dylan tune is a perfect fit for the video... Thanks again. I hope to be back there soon... to stay if I can find a way!
I deserve to be there and I wish I could die there, on the na pali coast. I shall go there in the next 5 years, but not to do the helicopter thing. I`ll kayak and hike it for a couple of months
Great video, such a scenery and such a song! You have a great taste and everything is perfectly arranged, thankyou! Kauai is on my list no.1!

How much is a helicopter ride like this???
dinomagic 11 months ago
@dinomagic like anywhere from $150 bucks a person to like $250 per person, most of the rides are about an hour long or less.
demonicBerith 9 months ago
@demonicBerith Mine was like 3 hours and we stopped at a waterfall and had lunch.

@demonicBerith Mine didn't have doors either, maybe it was just a different company. Glad you had fun though.

this wasnt written by dylan. It predates dylan and in fact nobody knows who wrote it, so nobody has the rights to it, which i think is kind of cool
