Good question - I've worked a fair amount in Belize and Guatemala and never seen nor heard of one there, although some claim they once were found in both countries.

WOW!
I've only ever seen 1 of these in El Salvador, on the side of the road in this area that had really bad deforestation...
I wonder if they're extinct here..
