The aircraft in the opening shots are 56Sqn Lightning F1a s at RAF Wattisham in the early 60s. The pilot strapping in was Flt Lt Timothy Mermigan who later lost his life in a flying accident at a Flying Training School where he was an instructor.

Jimmy Leonard Dell also flew the (BAC TSR-2) in 1964 but it was scrapped in 1965..:)

Omg god my twin brother new him really well, while he was working for the Royal Airforce Association at Lacashire St Annes UK! ..before he passed away R.I.P Jimmy Dell your a LEGEND!
