  • anybody know what the music track is called?......very apt to the clip.....fond memories of 1983 binbrook as a young ATC cadet watching these beasts take off from the small mobile control van 10 feet from the runway

  • The aircraft in the opening shots are 56Sqn Lightning F1a s at RAF Wattisham in the early 60s. The pilot strapping in was Flt Lt Timothy Mermigan who later lost his life in a flying accident at a Flying Training School where he was an instructor.
