I think this is a very good educational video. I knew some information about this massacre but you made a great job resuming everything in this seven-minute short video. I don't agree with the USA and their decision making in mingling with any countries' civil wars. We certainly had our civil war and did that alone. What has come to my attention though, is that USA gets involved anytime there are natural resources that it can capitalize from. Yet Rwanda had nothing of the like so no help was granted. @samyshka Actually, he is correct, the Belgians put the Tutsi into power until about 1959, when they allowed the Hutu, who made up the majority of the population, to take control of the government during universal elections. Part of why there was animosity between the two groups were the lingering feeling of repression that the Hutu held on to from when the Tutsi had had control of the government. However, please note that I am not attempting to justify genocide or any violence. It's deplorable.

I don't agree with the USA and their decision making in mingling with any countries' civil wars. We certainly had our civil war and did that alone. What has come to my attention though, is that USA gets involved anytime there are natural resources that it can capitalize from. Yet Rwanda had nothing of the like so no help was granted. @samyshka Actually, he is correct, the Belgians put the Tutsi into power until about 1959, when they allowed the Hutu, who made up the majority of the population, to take control of the government during universal elections. Part of why there was animosity between the two groups were the lingering feeling of repression that the Hutu held on to from when the Tutsi had had control of the government. However, please note that I am not attempting to justify genocide or any violence. It's deplorable.
