one thing i always wonder..why was joan of arc called a warrior, when she never fought like one, in all the movies, including this and even the history says that she lead the army like a warrior...charged them to win battles but she never fought herself...is it because she was a saint and didn't believe in killing people ?
@Heaven767 Yes you are.She was a martyr who died burnt alive and saved the France. But french aren't all romantic unlike some viewers think.I am romantic but some french aren't that way. Some french are rude.
@mikelheron20 Do you supposed that God (actually St Michael and St Catherine) mentioned the fact that she'd be burned at the stake if she accepted this suicide mission?
Saint Joan Of Arc The Greatest Christian Saint Ever And A Great Freedom Fighter Her Sacrifice For Jesus And France Is Beyond Comparison.Saint Joan Bravely Fought evil english army
Saint Joan Of Arc The Greatest Christian Martyr Ever She Sacrificed Her Pious Life For Words Of GOD And For The Freedom of A Great Nation Called France,She Bravely Fought evil english army .May Jesus Christ Son Of God Bless Her Soul.
what happend to Joan of Arcs two brothers her father did not want her tojoin this conflict and even threaten to have her brothers drown her if she tried to join the French army
@deathgirl5666 I believe it began with William the Conqueror from Normandy France defeated Saxon controlled England in 1066 A.D. The King of France then demanded that England submit to French control because William was a French noble, who was to support the French king. However, William refused, and I believe that is where the England and France rivalry started.
@jwoote00 you are correct on that William The Conqueror began it all before him France and England both had to fight off German control and Roman control back when the Celtics were the two nations during the Roman empire era
@deathgirl5666 Generally it was dominance over each other lands. If we go back to 1066 during the time of the Norman invasion, Normandy, and much of Northern France was under English rule. The French wanted that back. The English wanted the rest of France, and so, they began loads of war. The hundred years war was the longest (lasting 116 years) That wasn't one giant war that never ended but rather, lots of wars with a few months of peace in between before another conflict arose.
@deathgirl5666 i think shakespeare stated why quite well in Henry V they streotypes of English being the earthy people and the sterotype of the French being people who like plumage - it seemed fated those sterotypes wouldnt get along lol. that is not to say i personally think sterotyping is right i just thought it was intresting way of looking at it.
@deathgirl5666 You know, come to think of it. Almost every country was at England's throat. France, Ireland, Scotland, Spain. England must just have had a target on it's back. lol
@deathgirl5666 It's always land, no matter who it is. The more land you own,t he more powerful you are. Learned that from the greatest history teacher in the world. I wish he could have just been every history teacher I've ever had. I still see him as much as possible. (:
@deathgirl5666 it's all about land and claim to the throne. Sometimes English king may claim the crown of France for himself and then there's a war on it. Then it just became a rivalry and they've been at it until recently. basically like your siblings. they get into fights then later on they just reconcile
@GoMidoriIsCool because france would ruled by england and with no franch king there would never be a French Revolution and with no French Revolution there be no Napoleon Bonaparte.
Stop saying shit!!if you don't believe in Joan of Arc go away please!!!!you have nothing to do here. Thanks!!
