I forgive them for We Love You. It was a rough time for them. It was a critical turning point they never passed. They were changing their look, lost Matt their drummer, and this was the single from the "second album". The album was only released in Japan and sounded almost country / easy listening. So something went seriously wrong around there. I preferred the first album. But I have to say one of the B-side on We Love You was pretty good. Crash was the name I think.
wow! the first song on here 'The One' sounds amazing live! i reckon the band should have followed that rawer post-punk direction. the mod-pop stuff was sounding very tired and unoriginal by this stage 'And We Love You' is pathetic & should never have been a single sadly. nice post thank you!

Looking back, they aren't any worse than bands like Franz Ferdinand and The Libertines. They should have taken a rawer direction definitely.
