I love Alicia Keys. I think she is a really great musician and I love that she is soulful and jazzy when others around her like to pump out the same typical pop hit formula. However, this performance does not make any sense. The operatic part does not fit with the song and it cannot be heard very well anyway. The queen latifah part could have worked ok if her mic was on in time and she cut out all the talking and just did some basic rap. Alicia was great of course, but together it did not work.

She was never evil, just a diva(rightfully so), she was the only soprano invited to sing in the New Year's Concert in Vienna, by Karajan himself, sang for 2 popes, still is the best payed soprano in the history of the Met, was acclaimed as "the best lyric coloratura in the world" by the TIME Magazine. She sure deserves her imense fortune, her huge appartment in Manhattan and her army of fans. ;)
