@krawky398 I gathered that but why? Do you prefer sprites over 3D models? Do you prefer the retro soundtrack? Do you have problems with the altered script? Or the difficulty or the use of classes?
Oh, oh. Sorry. I wasn't really a fan of how they tried to give previously mostly personality-less characters a personality and backstory that got tossed aside after you go to Canaan, if I recall.
I didn't mind the graphics too much, but the redone music I can't very easily stand, for some reason. I just really liked the retro OST better, I guess.
I didn't much see the use in adding levels to Jobs either. It really just increased the amount of grinding to do.
@NostalgicSince2005 Well for one they named the hero's gave new jobs and did alot of changing around the story. Thats about all I remember. But to me a classic should stay a classic.
@NostalgicSince2005 Because its the orginal. All they needed to do was upgrade the graphics like orgins and it would be double better than that 3d version.
@wurmi32 NES and DS are 2 different consoles, and they are different games. You get nothing for killing Bahamut early, you need to run. (not to mention, the NES version is VERY hard)
@chamda1 its just that well onion kid is the strongest character in the game.At level 90 all his stats go up to 99.Its just that this class at level 34 is kinda good depending on the enemy
Since it hasn't been mentioned, Bahamut has 65K HP in this fight and silently regenerates all of it every turn. Basically, he's made to be unbeatable. Also, the DS and NES versions are very different. DS makes each player character different and has them join at different times, and the classes, enemies, and overall mechanics are heavily rebalanced. I much prefer the way the music is done on NES for the more pronounced percussion, and I'm amazed at what it did with simple 8-bit sprite graphics.
I am going to make the video! I will make it a Video Responce to this one. I'm not trying to prove anything. I just really like this game and until watching this video I didn't know other people were interested in it the same way I am. Be on the look out for it, Once I make it I will post it.
I don't suppose any one will beleive that I beat Bahamut without running away? I could make a video for proof if it comes to that. i wanted to point out though that there is no surprise after you beat him. The game contunues afterwards as if you ran from the battle. I can make a video if you really want me too.
Y'know, this game is pure awesome. I prefer the DS version, only because it's actually accessible without an Emulator to me here in America, but that' not the point. Why are all your characters Onion Kids though? That's the crappiest Job in the game as far as I know.
Around max job level, Onion Kid's stats grow VERY quick. If they're fully decked out in Onion equips as well, let's just say that the enemies made a HUGE mistake fighting them.
how come you can say nes better than ds,,,stupid,,,guess there something wrong with ur brain,,i used to play nes version,,but quickly get bored because of the funny graphic and too child music,,=P
Each man to his own opinion. I like the NES version better for being the original. And in the DS version, I don't like the music so much. Some of my favorite songs in the NES version don't feel the same in the DS version, take for example the Boss theme. Also, the DS version did one thing horribly. It tried to develop the characters, and did not do that very well. So yeah, I like the NES version better than the DS version.
no!! u wrong!! that theme better in ds version!! nes version sounds boring and have ugly graphic =P,,what do u means ds not do that very well??? DS version improve very much unlike nes,,,ds cannot be compared with nes u,,,=P
@krawky398 if you want a good verison of the ff3 boss fight music, check out the iphone remake of ff1, holy crap it's amazing on that. still can't find it on youtube though
Aha, that pales in comparison to the PSP version. I have an MP3 of its version of the FF3 boss theme, but after listening to it a lot, I somewhat got tired of it.
Wow, the Demiforce dialog is cut a lot compared to the alternate fan-translation. It seriously feels like Desh only says about 1/3 of what he normally says.
Why is NES III better than DS III?
