  • I've never been a devotee of Bruce, but this one knocks me out every time I listen to it. A truly great song.

  • hell we all need a little touch up and a little paint in life to cover the pain of hurt except the 2 ailens who are exempt from the pain of lifes crap this is a much loved and true to life song for me it represented life perfectly

  • 2 people would rather touch themselves than have someone touch them!

  • @MrProfessornutbutter

yes I'd rather touch myself than someone infect me !

  • it is paint...

  • Are you sure this song belongs to "the Boss"? Joe Cocker also did this song........I liked Youngstown........and thought it was a great "story song"........come to find out........someone else did it before Bruce did

  • I love this song!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Oh, it's definitely "paint." This is Bruce! Think cars. "I ain't nobody's bargain, but hell, a little touch up and a little paint." All of us have scratches and dents. A little touch up and a little "paint" do wonders! Make-up could be "paint'', too. :)

  • Probably my favorite Boss song. At least it's probably the one I sing out loud to the most wshen I'm listening to him.

    Can't beat the Boss, baby.

  • The wisdom in this song........blows me away. Bruce.......the master, reveals his lyrics that have true meaning. God I love this man..................and his music!

  • Hmm... really? I like Bruce Springsteen as much as anyone but this is pretty far from being the best song in the world. I don't think it's even the best Bruce Springsteen song in the world.

To each his own, I suppose!

  • motha fuckaaaaa!!!!!

  • I see the English lessons are going well...

  • @subastra I think it is his best song..then Tunnel of Love

  • cool video :)

  • at 3.28 the word paint doesn´t make sense, I think it should be pain.

  • "Yeah I know I ain't nobody's bargain/

But hell, a little touch-up and a little paint..."

Another one of Springsteen's car metaphors, i.e. this fella might not be much to look at but he just needs tidying up a bit.

I don't think the word "pain" would make any sense at all there.

  • i always thought it was pain but then when you listen really closely you can just about make out paint.

  • @gladgut73 paint rhymes with aint in the previous line

  • Nice video!

  • a little paint means something magical and free like a painter. lets just paint something beautiful. lets create...
