She was so high during this performance. She probably took a Xanax or something to calm her nerves, but it made her sleepwalk through the performance. Not only that, the costume is not flattering, her weave is a disgusting mess and the blue contacts are a FAIL. I feel sympathy for her because this is one of those moments when you look at someone and you feel like they don't have any friends. Someone who loved her would not let her go out there in this condition.
I remember when I was watching this live when it first aired. I was so fucking pissed and disappointed at MTV knowing that she was drugged up on meds and was breaking down before our eyes. This was just way too painful to watch. And this moment made me not like Sarah Silverman anymore she crossed the line with that joke.
This is not that bad, but Britney looks very scared and shy. What I hate here is seeing Rihanna totally laughing her ass off at Britney and now she is performing S&M with Britney, what a total fraud this Rihanna girl is, she is sick and disgusting,stupid ugly hypocrite. I heard that they use Rihanna's music in prison cells in some countries to torture prisoners,and they have been said to prefer death rather than listening to Rihanna's yucky voice.

The VMAs did quite well for a good twenty years without Britney she did not, by any means, "define them".

I think that people said this was so bad just because they are used to Britney's perfect performances. And I think that people expect that her performances have to be just as good as her old ones, like her Oops I did it again performance at the VMA's and her Slave 4 U performance. That's why people were so shocked when they saw this performance. But I still like this one, even tho it's probably her ''worst'' performance.
I think this performance was one of her low points. She was bloated and lethargic from drugs and abusing her body and seemed pretty much "out of it". I'm glad to see she is back.

Music industry is a commercial bizz and britney started in a high album sale era, single's position were never that important to britney's career as it were to rihanna. However nowadays britney is also slightly going on that bizz model.

I think that people said this was so bad just because they are used to Britney's perfect performances. And I think that people expect that her performances have to be just as good as her old ones, like her Oops I did it again performance at the VMA's and her Slave 4 U performance. That's why people were so shocked when they saw this performance. But I still like this one, even tho it's probably her ''worst'' performance.

I think this performance was one of her low points. She was bloated and lethargic from drugs and abusing her body and seemed pretty much "out of it". I'm glad to see she is back.

It's really too bad she didn't workout and rehearse this routine more because this easily could have been a HOT HOT performance.. but due to leg injuries, 2 kids, a GOD AWFUL outfit, and a drug addiction her performance level took a HUGE toll and has ever since. It sucks to see your favorite performer, of all time, go down hill but at least she has came back and lived through such a dark time.
