I like to think it's more of the big brother's role to hurt the guy for mistreating the girl. The ex more or less just tells the guy to 'Treat her right' without the bodily harm parts. But that's just me.

OMG I love Max!! He looks so mean when Sonny is speaking to Patrick, and so uncomfortable when Sonny is speaking w/Emily. Poor guy.
