kay maybe the acting was a bit on the crap side and blah blah but I thought the movie was generally good and I'd say perhaps better than the first one however Kate Bosworth was better at acting...I also think the second one almost didn't have as much surfing as it did romance lol defo a chick flick! I find this movie is like step up (the dance movie) but with surfing lol i think its cuz step up 3 (which also had sharni vinson) included that big family of dancers but in this its surfers.
During the part where she surfs Jbay she goes into the water in a purple Roxy suit, while she's surfing she is suddenly wearing a blue one, then she comes out of the water in the purple one again....how did they miss that?

@Alexia106883 lol 1-south africa is one big shit hole.2-the simple fact that they had to remake a great movie and ruin it with tacky acting and plot is beyond me. and 3-8 out of 10xs,the remakes are usually a hot mess,this is hard core proof of that.
Casting is perfect and the roles are played brilliantly and will keep you gripped to the end. Have seen it now about five times on 'daving info' and still would watch again! But what I can say when it is free, I just love to enjoy for free, especially when it is a pleasure!!

In the first movie, one blonde teen was supported by two non-white women to improbable success without once forever rejecting bland, exploitative man. BC2: vast improvement.

The nice guy actually gets a shot. The first movie the character is too "whoa is me!" This movie, it feels like this girl won't be denied and it captures the essence of a true free spirit. Very entertaining film, but don't see if you want a deep story. Loved the visual effects and action scenes were great. I look for it on fillmsi.co.cc and I was pretty satisfied.
