What is the title of the DVD? I'm a high school teacher and this would make a great classroom resource on stereotypes and indoctrination. I'm thinking that in 50 years people will look at the PC stuff we have today and think it is racist simply because a lot of politically correctness is biased in one way or the other. I remember a politically correct group was trying to ban Speedy Gonzales because it was a racist portrayal of Hispanics and it was Hispanic people that threw a fit and beat the politically group down.

The primary reasons some cultures develop faster than others are economic and political; cultures that develop faster (primarily European and Asian) had greater demand for fewer resources forcing them to develop technology to more efficiently exploit them. When that stopped working, they expanded their influence to more resource-rich territories to meet demand.
