This IS NOT Fifth Gear, this is the old series of Top Gear that ran between 1977 and 2002 and had many, many motoring world hosts including Vicki, Tiff and Clarkson.

if the germans take this brand, they will be sypathetic to the tradition and path alfa have pushed themselves towards, and will make a genuine attempt to improve the alfa brand.

cars like the lambourghini..the mini..even the skoda are now flourishing due to high levels of investment and improved production methods, higher grade materials etc.

no brand has ""yet"" failed with west german manufactures, but i know were your comming from:

You only have to look at at Internet Forums to see how Alfa Romeo generates soo much interest and hostility (jealousy) like no other car! Alfa Romeo is like an evening out in an Opera and afterwards have a exquisite meal at a top Italian Restaurant served by a charismatic and exciting Italian waiter!

Alfa have downsized its engines but not the power, now there is the new MultiAir

Petrol unit, 1750cc petrol turbo with output 235bhp, 0-60 in 6.5 sec same as Gta

here and returns 40mpg and for the eco mentalists much lower emissions.

But that Busso V6 is a work of automotive art, and that noise, worth the extra cost

at the pumps i think..Forza Alfa romeo

Once you've owned an Alfa Romeo nothing else will do, other cars start to look

a bit drab, humdrum, boring there is no stylish alternative yet.

Although VW have poached Walter da silva (head of alfa style centre) to design the alfa wannabe Seat , notice how the cupra looks similar to a 147.

Also VW now have ItalDesign (Giugiaro), Luca de meo (Abarth) and Lamborghini

The Registration plate... the 02 on the plate shows that it was registered in '02, if it had 03 then the car would be registered in '03 etc
