Yes, God has a Father. He is our Heavenly Father. He is also known as the Son of God, being God himself.

He doesn't avoid anything. You know as well as any former or active Mormon that the LDS doctrines go outside of your "standard works".

Are you saying that Joseph Smith was lying when he said that "you have got to learn to be gods yourself"?

Pauline avoided answering a simple yes or no question. She was doing the "Mormon Shuffle".

I think Mormons dodge question like this because something deep down inside of them is telling them that the doctrines of their church are wrong.

"omi, Omiolo, King of the Mormon Frontier". Isn't it true that Mormons have an endless progression of gods? Wasn't god born into a pre-formed universe.(in fact for mormons it's a multi-verse). Isn't god a polygamist and Jesus a polygamist and Mary was physically impregnated by Eloheim and that Mary still is a Mormon Virgin? And Mary was a polygamist. And so on and so on.
