its set to engage at 8500 other wise it wont hit the powerband up to 15,000rpm, dosent matter now though cuz the engines blown i beilive haha.. piston rings shot
maybe mine did engage around there.. i cant remember now its been a while.. there are NO tracks around my house, would have to drive many hours to find one so i rode on the street:)
nice bike! you should go for a smaller rear sprocket... it would help a lot more if all you do is straights! (you get more top end) I've got the same exact bike except mine is supercharged with a reed stage kit and ported & jetted carb it's running almost 16hp :)cheers!!
Yia, their fun bikes to ride when they wanna be! I just find the frame on them are too narrow and not beeffy enough to accomodate that high reving power plant. Anyone that owns a elite 13 knows about the vibration issues... thats the only downfall on this bike! Vibrates like a jet taking off lmao
I went to the source electronic's store and bought a heavy duty fan with air cooling fins for high performance computers and managed to mount it inside my air filter. I hooked it up to a power source with a switch and there you go! Let me tell you top end speed isn't much but, acceleration and tourque is very very noticable! cheers :) 30,000 RPM fan!
duct taped it around most the bike lol, and yea its topping out a bit too soon i have a huge rear sprocket, dont have any spare front ones anymore and i have carbon fibre reeds
yeah i tryed using water with the addative in it . . . coolant or water with addative dosent matter , has a radiator, coolant is aluminum safe and cools good.. so its all good
hey, um i saw your add in craigslist, and bike comes with coolant rite? i was just wondering im kind of new to w/c pocket bikes, but on my manual it says not to use coolant =/ also someone told me to use normal water with some sort of water wetter i think it was called.
yeah i think it is the idle screw too, but i think the carb is also clogged up. By the way why are you selling your bike? i live in BC too by the way..
did you buy it brand new? did you break the engine in properly? aka no full throttle for 3-5 tanks of gas, check the spark plug.. check the A/F ratio , make sure the carb isnt clogged.. list goes on lol check the idle screw turn it up a notch
nope i bought it used, of some whacko dude who says he use to sell and race pocket bikes and he said the bike works perfectly fine and tested it the day before he sold it to me, but he didnt have gas on it so i didnt get to see if it worked, wen i brought it home there were many problems the mechanic had to change, The clutch was all rusty bad springs, the spark plug was all oiled up, etc...
oh ok, also the engine on my pocket bike shuts off after 3 seconds when i stop throttling, im no w/c expert, but do you know what might be the problem?
oh yeah dude, i got a question, i also have a water cooled pocket bike but its not an Elite, and its like yours when you throttle it takes a long time till wheel starts to spin, you really have to throttle it for the wheels to spin thats why it makes bike so loud. Is it normal?? and when i put the bike down for it to touch the ground, the bike does not move.
Pocket bikes do not need a high-stall setting for street use, it wears the clutch out and clutch will slip if RPM is too consistant.

Nice.
You really need a bigger front sprocket and a dellorto 18-19mm carbi. Your toping out way too soon.
Also carbon fiber reeds would help alot aswell
