  • All these little kids bitching about tuning and what not. They wouldnt be called CFT CENTRAL FLORIDA TURBOES for a REASON!

    To find this video you type in CFT, not rednecks in a slow ass stock mustang that thinks its fast. Keep your honda hating, as you see who gets +gas mileage, who has the most power per liter, and we have half the displacement of most engines.

    Why are you guys arguing over torque and hp? this motors fully built, as you see its what 900+hp out of k series. Fuck ur 2 cents

  • 2004acurarasx yea it does have to do with tune.. you need your HP and torque to be closer together... weht the hell does it matter if its a honda or not.. tune it to run closer number on HP and torque and you"ll run better and faster times....

  • @21FFmike dude your saying the tune is bad because of the lack of tq...and im saying its a honda/small motors unlike a v8 which there tq and hp is close because of the huge displacement..this motor is tuned to the best..look at any honda dyno graph the hp will always be higher and with boost it will be even farther apart

  • dudes thats a hella lot of horsepower but you need a better tune.. the HP and torque shouldnt be that big of a difference... otherwise you wont get the full potential out of the motor... the more equal the torque and HP is the better it will run... nice build though

  • @ManyZanbuye well as i said before lots of head work is the main key.. but for that amount of power you'll be needing a lot a work on the bottom end too.. pull the whole motor and get everything decked back out to spec.. chambers bored .030 over and start a high compression build with forged internals..

  • Hondas need no torque.they are super lightweight and rev to ridiculously high rpms which compensates the lack of torque..all cars are different dude..sum are heavy and need big motors with high torque and high displacement while others are light and need less power and torque also less displacement to be equally fast...

  • @700whpfocus Thing that sucks about that motor is its maxed out already. I've seen turbo "ZTEC" engines fall flat on their face at 200 crank HP! Ford can make a V8 , but leave the four cyclinders to the professionals

  • The 4g63 has been making hp in the 1000+ range for a long time now. A 1000hp 4 cylinder isnt unheard of. However, as the other guy said, theres no replacement for displacement. In the end a fully built big displacement v8 will always be able to make more power than a fully built smaller 4 cylinder. Thats just physics for you.

  • that is the stupid agrument. When you have 2 identical motors. and then change one factor in a positive way, then the one that was modded would be superior becuase of the change. So of course the larger displacement is better when same mods to a smaller one are done. just the same as a d16 with a header is better than a stock d16. of a nitrous'd vehicle to one without... what the change is, is no replacement. but it could be said about anything. not just disp. any mod is better than no mod

The variable you change will make the other motor inferior due to the upgrade you gave the other motor. Whether its higher compression, forced induction, timing, etc.. When you have 2 identical motors, changing 1 factor will make that motor better. So if you want to say there is no replacement for modifications. I would not argue.

  • I think youre reading too much into that statement. All it is saying is that other methods of making power (forced induction and such) will never be a replacement for having more displacement.

And a larger motor is not always better. and there is a replacement. forced in duction, does the exact same thing that larger displacement is doing. it increases the mass flow of air.

  • While it has the same effect on the amount of power a motor is making, forced induction is *not* a replacement for displacement. For instance a naturally aspirated ls7 is going to make 500 hp way more reliably than a boosted 2.0 or similar sized 4 cylinder could make 500 hp. And by reading too much into it, i meant you are taking it far too literally, its just one of those sayings that has been around for a long time.
