@D0p3Smuggl3r I don't check my Youtube account often but these simulations of physics have always astonished me but I could never really figure out where I would start if I wanted to make something like this. Any chance you could post a tutorial or just link me to the program you use?
@TheChris1179 I use Carrara 8 mostly, but you can do the same thing with "Blender.'
Just visit Blender . org and go to the downloads section to find the version you need, it doesn't cost a penny and won't take hours to download either.
It isn't easy to use but there's no shortage of tutorials and other users covering it on Youtube, that should help you get started.
Doesn't really have anything to do with bullets, its more like a cannonball. A bullet wouldn't really knock something as large as that over unless it was somehow made of 1000 balancing pieces.
@JaceXgameR You should have seen the old prehistoric hunk of junk computer I used when I rendered this, there are cellphones with more computing power these days.
@muddyelam3 No way man, it actually rendered very quickly.
DVD resolution, shadow buffers instead of full softshadows, no reflections at all, a custom made light dome with no shadows, it took about 3 hours with on an old P4 3.0ghz PC with a single gig of RAM.
@Sandi315Productions The render time was about 3 hours, but it was all done on a crappy old PC with a P4 3.0 ghz single core processor and 1 GB of RAM.
Using shadow buffers took a lot of the bite out of the render time but caused that weird shadow glitch you see at the edge of the stack in the beginning.
@Funmichi It's a complicated computer calculation, the software uses the CPU in the computer to calculate how it would fall and act in real lift, if it had that weight, mass, shape etc.
Although I didn't use it in this video there is an awesome free 3D app called "Blender" that you can do all sorts of nifty things with, it just takes a little bit of practice and studying!

Ozziguy6 2 weeks ago
@Ozziguy6 I'm very aware of that.
"Bullet" is the name of the physics engine used in the animation.
Maybe I should change the title or something.
D0p3Smuggl3r 2 weeks ago 5
@D0p3Smuggl3r My mistake, my own ignorance then!
Ozziguy6 2 weeks ago
@Ozziguy6 It's cool man, I can see how the title might be a little confusing to some.
Have a great day and thanks for watching!

@RanksOfTheGods What...?! It's a freakin' ball smashing into a stack of cubes dude.
D0p3Smuggl3r 3 weeks ago 9
@D0p3Smuggl3r are you dumb? the ball represents the bullet and the cubes are the target
headhunter743 3 weeks ago
@headhunter743 Not half as dumb as the moron that failed to realize that "Bullet" is the name of the physics engine being demoed.
Thanks for the laugh buddy, now go troll somebody else please.

@QuickZcoped Are you a Carrara user or a Blender user?
I used Carrara 8 pro for this, it's great but it isn't a very popular program, lol.

@Janon223 That's the name of the physics engine, other than that this has nothing to do with an actual bullet, lol.

How do the stones know how to fall??????
Funmichi 2 months ago
@Funmichi It's a physics simulation, you can just stack a bunch of objects, set up something to knock them down, and then run the simulation!
D0p3Smuggl3r 2 months ago
@Funmichi It's a complicated computer calculation, the software uses the CPU in the computer to calculate how it would fall and act in real lift, if it had that weight, mass, shape etc.

More than 1,000 cubes?
WrestlingAnimeFan 2 months ago
@WrestlingAnimeFan Definitely!
Although I don't recall the actual amount, my guess is that there are around 8000 cubes.
I did this on an old P4 3.0ghz single core desktop PC with only 1 gigabyte of RAM though, the poor thing was nearly pushed to it's limit, lol.
D0p3Smuggl3r 2 months ago
isnt that like 9/11
FLXartz 2 months ago
@FLXartz Not really what I had in mind, but I guess any depiction of collapsing objects could be compared to 9/11?
D0p3Smuggl3r 2 months ago
can some one make a tut on how to throw objects
B1izzaRdz 3 months ago
@B1izzaRdz In Carrara it's as simple as selecting the object, opening the motion tab, and applying an initial velocity value to it.
I have no idea how to do it in Blender though.
