  • Fuck it, can't watch this scene without crying. It's so real you can taste it.

  • You know, Manny reminds me of R. Lee Ermey tearing into some maggot in Basic at Parris Island.

And just think: Ranken's been trying to break Manny for years without success. And here Buck does it with just a few words.

  • You know, Manny reminds me of R. Lee Ermey tearing into some maggot in Basic at Parris Island.

  • one of my favorite scenes ever.... great movie

  • I'd consider this one of Jon Voight's most epic moments in his acting career.

  • Probably the best scene in the entire movie. Amazing acting. Chills run up my spine when all three of them realize that they have become animals - or worse - human.

  • chillout

  • roy west

  • Great acting!

  • NOUGH!

  • Runaway Train ROCKS!

  • Manny was SCARY!

  • I saw most of "Runaway Train" on A&E when I was a kid and I REALLY ENJOY this film, especially for the train and the acting. The train is the REAL star of this GREAT film.

  • Best movie EVER. Fuck the new movies

  • No es posible que esta película no obtuvieras varios oscar, es increible que voight tuvo que dejar de conversar con sus compañeros de film, porque todas sus nergias las aplico al personaje, y no pudo ganar el oscar, increible movie.

  • Awesome film.

  • Three actors, two oscar nominations. Totally deserved back perhaps when the oscars are not totally rigged.

  • i still can't believe that is Rebecca De Mornay.

  • Absolutely master piece acting well its simple its Konchalovsky its a real cinema a craft to be and artist and actors

  • 10 out of 10 +.

and I've never given 10 out of 10 for a Hollywood film

  • Sara: You're an animal!

    Manny: No, worse!....Human. Human!

  • Gota be said tho....Eric Roberts was fucking super in this.

  • "I'm worst than an animal. I'm human"

  • An evaluation in this case is too easy: one of the best movies ever. It seems just an action movie, but it is much much more! Thanks for this video!

  • Most underrated movie of the Eighties. It's a crime that it's not on Blu-ray.

  • You DoN'T KNOW what you could do what you can't....

  • @ColdBishop...For fans of the music around 5:30 I highly reccomend a VERY SIMILAR and beautifully sad song called ''Anoranza'' by Elfonia....not kidding here

  • Only a human could be worst than an animal. Everyone should know this but if not, look around.

  • Just one of the greatest scenes ever

  • runaway pile of shit

  • get back out there sucka!!!! Best line in any movie i watched

  • One of the best films ever imo and one of my favs. Powerful scene and touching when the animal suddenly realises his shame and melts.

  • One of the greatest, most powerful scenes about human nature in movie history. Great, and under appreciated movie.

  • I get the point about "I'm worst than an animal. I'm human" and then she starts screaming "kill him, Kill him..." The scene is raw

  • ANGELINA JOLIE could not shine her fathers shoes

  • Totally Agree! Not to mention, Julia couldn't shine Eric's shoes either.

  • ogo syka.

  • I can't believe that's actually Rebecca DeMornay. I mean of course the film is 25 years old, but still...

  • I love this film, one of the last good rail-films of the 20th century. (Taking of 123, is the closet, but no heavy duty trains like this film, in the 21 century.)

  • Thanks for posting. Influence my life to a great degree.

  • Angelina Jolie could not shine her fathers shoes

  • This is one of the best movies of all time.

You don't know what you can do and what you can't do. Eric Roberts is still more talented then most. Thanks for the gift. It feels like it is my birthday

  • what a film. the theme tune when manny is on top of the train is unreal.

  • cmon buck..lets go..lets go sucka!

  • EPIC!

  • Thanks for posting the film.

I love the photography, music and of course what the movie says.

This is one of my favorate films.

  • Questa è la scena più bella del film.

  • Good music from 4:43 :) very good movie too :) greetings too all RT fans

  • In many ways this is a brilliant film. However, I always found Voight's performance (and accent) to trivialize the more important aspects of the picture. Voight is a great actor on the whole, but his protrayl of Manny was too over-the-top for me.

  • Not over the top, it's just rarely seen level of acting. Just amazing the way he portray that role.

  • Its only "over the top" because you've never seen anything like that before and, you will never see acting like that again. Certainly not from anyone around today.

  • one of the best 10 films ever made

  • Thanks for posting!!!!!! Highly underated and one of my favourite films!

  • now that my friends is great acting.

  • @cfx5000 I couldn't agree with you anymore.

  • @cfx5000 And John P Ryan as warden Ranken is absolutely stunning.

  • @LeShark75 Absolutely. John Ryan was exceptional in this film. I didn't know who to root for. Rankin or Manny.

  • @cfx5000

I say finding acting this good, writing this great, music this superb, editing this smooth, direction that masterful, pacing so perfect as Runaway Train in today's time is like trying to get two chinese pandas to fuck. 25 years of age matured this movie like a fine wine that washes the after taste of Michael Bay and reality TV from my mouth.

  • @tkhushrenada I couldn't agree with you more!

  • Thanks for posting this hard-hitting scene (although anyone who hasn't seen the movie should definitely be watching it on DVD and not YouTube). Can't wait for the Bluray (since the DVD wasn't anamorphic... argh!) Win. Lose. What's the difference?
