clearly none of these people commenting understand the whole story this wasnt just something that happened this night kindl elbowed the knights captain and when you do that in hockey you have to be able to back it up, beaulieu earlier in the game asked him to fight and he wouldnt so the knights had enough of his BS and went after him
Infallible logic? Too bad that academic phrase is complete inappropriate for this incident. Anyone who knew the history of this knew Kindl was a scumbag who had everything coming to him. Occasionally, mob mentality is A-OK in hockey vengeance. There was no better example.
LMAO...My my...I heard about this incident, just never saw the footage until now... How proud they both look after ganging up and swinging their sticks at one guy... Those London Kights are a classy bunch.
Oh yeah I remember well watching that game. The Knights sure took care of business. Made asses of themselves (easy to do when your coach is a donkey) didn't win any of the fights, didn't play hockey, didn't win the game.
Kindl took care of business. He scored 2 goals and fought Foreman (when it was 1 on 1). You don't try to fight back when it's a tag team against you.
Rangers are the best, Knights were an absolute embarrassment and a joke in that game.
It kept the Rangers in third place in the Western Conference that year. The Knights were a light team and a lot of teams were starting to take liberties with them until that contest. They had to make a statement and this game showed that other teams had to pay a price if they wanted to play the Knights. The Knights held off the Whalers in the regular season and got by the Attack and the Soo in the playoffs due to that tour de force. In a way, the Rangers never recovered from that night.
Kindl and the Rangers got the last laugh on this night. Kindl scores a couple of goals to help the Rangers win the game. The Knights led by coach Dale Hunter looked like a bunch of circus clowns. HA!
That night served a purpose though. Kindl was never really the same after and the Knights won the division and league that year. When you think about it though, the Knights had basically five players who were talented and a great goalie. The Rangers, on the other hand, were stocked. I thought it was the Rangers who were affected more by this baffoonery that the Knights. People can say what they want about the Hunters but they know the game and how to get the most out of their team.
