I feel for you. My ex-gf had renal falure. Both of her kidneys are pretty much useless. But one can live 'normally' with only 25% kidney function (50% of 1 kidney) just needing to keep a proper diet. Your parents shouldn't restrict you from sports. =\

The issue here is that the people later endure pain and cannot work (the poor people). They also develop serious health problems of their own because the operations are pitifully done. If they legalized it, then people would have safe operations (with painkiller) and then your philosophy could work quite well.
