  • i love the chinese harp

  • western music in most cases does not even compare

  • @Lupy501 you haven't heard meh sing Lupeh =O

  • @Lupy501 i agree.the western scale system is very limited, compared to eastern continents

  • @1dudeman2 Dude man... you do know that she is only playing 5 single notes here? give me a time in the video that she plays a note out of the pentatonic scale.... There is none.

  • Technically it's not a harp, argh!

  • I love it.

  • Shes Cute! Hehehe

  • very beautiful!!! wish i could play a chinese harp... i'll probably suck tho...

  • I don't know why...Whenever i listen to this I makes me remind of Journey to the West (Ci Yo Jie) the chinese version...

  • Kami, having been there, I can honestly say the live performance was in tune. The 'highness' we are hearing here is the result of the microphones not picking up the low strings very well, and practically none of their resonance (you hear the 'attack' when she plucks, but not the 'hum' afterwards). The video is also a bit faster than I remember it live, which could also be pulling the pitch up a little.

  • who is the artist?

  • Her name is Joanna Tang from Cleveland Ohio. She is currently a graduate student at Case Western Reserve University, majored in Music Education.

  • Interesting, a little high though
