I would say Les Paul, Hendrix, Clapton, Van Halen, and Yngwie made giant leaps in guitar progress. Many greats in between but I would say these guy fundamentally changed the way the instrument was played.

That was one of the first big international concerts in Brazil (the other were Queen and The Police in 1981).

Let's hope the Mighty Van Halen show up in Brazil again! The new record is great!

Overall, there's loads of folk that are much more technical than Eddie Van Halen, but it isn't just his technique that makes him so good. He had a unique style, was hugely influential, and was very appealing to non-guitar players, all while having great technique. There isn't that many guitarists that you can honestly say that about.

Bootlegs have been around since they made the machines sort of small..
