i got 1:09 on gamecube took me like 2 days, replaying it on the wii a year or so later i struggled to beat that yeti/yeto/yeta bitch! The fuckin ending coming around the corner i always somehow end up fying right over the rail, goddamn it makes me so angry!

I just learnt that you can slash the yeties to slow them down and have an influence on your progress with your sword.

Actually I'm trying to beat the female yeti but I always crash on a wall by the end of the race and she beats me. xD You have great control on the snowboarding stuff. I actually don't like that part much because it is an obstacle for my next piece of heart. xD

I think Link should be a secret character in a future snowboarding game (like the 1080 series), and Snowpeak should be an unlockable course, with your choice of Gamecube or Wii layout. Of course, the music would be the same as is heard in this video.

@Menoz511 Definitely not a liar. I can attest that there are stronger players out there. Scores like these often go unreported or they are secluded from foreigners (for some reason they hate Americans lol). I just hate it when people claimed that they have a world record. Chances are they do not. That's why I prefer to claim my record as a personal best.

@davincentcode 1:07 looks like the max (for a human player), but I'll do a TAS on this race sometime in the future and see if I can push it down to barely 1:06. Surely there is a glitch to take advantage of...it's just that I can't do it with the current emulator.

What... most of TP's music is orchestrated, same with Mario Galaxy.

No it's not. The whole soundtrack is midi. Mario Galaxy is all orchestrated. This was one of the main issues by every major reviewer on Twilight Princess not having orchestrated music.

Forgot to explain I'm on the GameCube version though. The switched geography on the wii version would drive me nuts, but that's just me.

I got 1:17 when I finally stopped falling off cliffs ledges and generally not finishing. For some reason at the VERY END of the hopping part of the shortcut, despite my best efforts, I would ALWAYS suddenly go left and right into the abyss. Cost me much frustration (and 10 hearts all told) before I beat Yeta by the skin of my teeth. I swear she came in the same exact moment in time that I did but the game said I won and who'm I to argue with that when it was so hard for me to even finish? heh

It keeps your airborne a little longer. Plus, if you hit the opponent with it, they spin out of control a little bit.
