I agree with pretty much all of what was said! Wonderful interview! I think a way to create depth in how good the fighters are is to make tournaments a round robin event... keep the same weight classes have everyone fight everyone and then the winners of the weight classes fight each other until there is an overall winner!
Great interview by Jadi Tention. These guys were the great fighters of their era. Also, I wondered whether there would be any discussion of Alvin Prouder, and wasn't disappointed.
I really want to thank Jadi Tention for this interview. He came up with the idea, coordinated getting the Legends together, and came up with the interview questions. All I did was hold a camera and upload the video. It was really Jadi Tention who brought this video to you and all BlitzKick did was assist him with his vision. Please thank him personally when you get a chance.... Jessica Robeson (a.k.a. Marsha Brady)
Coming from a bias standpoint .I don't think they were being disrespectful I think the point once we put our emotions to the side,is that a side kick should be a side kick and a punch should be a punch and the quality as a whole is on a decline.we have replaced fighting with flips and tricks and half chambered kicks. The truth is the truth we all need to step our games up and bring it back to good quality techniques
The divions are less violent then before but the ajussted to the times and you shouldnt diss other fighters, its disrespectful. Other than that this is a good interveiw.
@KarateGirl1321 - They weren't dissing other fighters. They stated legitimate opinions about their era vs the present. Jadi was asking some pointed questions, and they gave honest, informed, detailed answers.
SMH- shame on all of you. If this was yall students your responses would have been, "It's just a little rain!" MAN UP!....LOL Great interview from great people.
I was at the Isshinryu Hall of Fame and was able to meet Master Creamer. At one point after I got called for to much face contact 2 times and gave up a penalty point. As I was kneeling he whispered reverse punch before you get DQed. It meant so much to much to have one of the greatest help me. Mr Anderson reinforced that in this video. THANKS for this video. Later that day I was able to meet 8 of the Marines that brought Isshinryu Karate to the US. The best karate day for me ever
