Miso's a her, and it's a present called "Little Buddy". When worn, a mini version of the cousin is standing on the character's head. The exception is The Prince, who's little buddy is of the Young King's.

Mind you, it can still be classified at "cheating", but it still saves a little time compared to choosing to "stop rolling for today" and having to talk to the rose again. Also, retrying will keep you in the same area (i.e.: if you are in the "snow area", you will still be respawned in the "snow area" no matter how many times you retry).

If you don't want to do the "rubber band" trick, you can actually do something else. This worked with me, anyway...if you start the level, collect some roses, and decide to retry the level when the game is paused, you will STILL have the roses you collected before retrying the level. Generally, I get 1500 roses (snow level is best, but any will do) and "retry" to regenerate the bunches of roses again. I hope that was easy to understand. @_@

dude 1 million seconds = 11 days (ish)

so if you go at 11 roses per second it'll still take u 24 hours..... AAAAAHHHHHHHH

I cheated. I put rubber bands on my controller each night before I went to bed. You just have to make sure that the katamari will go in a decent sized circle. I'd collect roughly 200,000 roses each night that way. It only works for the snow stage though... The penguins marching across the screen ensure that your katamari will have a little variety in it's circle path, but in a good way. Try this trick, it works.

Yep, you have to get every single cousin from all the different levels. Then one guy will yell "Pyon!" and he wants you to play tag with all your new cousins. Then you'll be able to do the rose level.

My trick to this one?
