  • yes this is a core stabilization exercise.

  • what do they call this again? Isometrics or something like that?

    I like the idea.. it seems to exercises geared towards building very specific strength by using good ol fashioned mass and gravity.

  • this is a bit like yoga. we call them planks. i have heard them called planks or pikes. they are good to develop stabilization which is essential for rotating faster.

  • mr huizinga can u use ankle weights or a weighted vest with this?

  • absolutely. we first want to learn to control our body weight though.
