  • Where are you from Phil ?. I can stereotype you and the population of those you left.

  • wtf is this shit?!?! I LIVE in Minnesota, and my accent isn't THAT strong!

  • Extremely cute..

  • Well better get to choppin some wood now eh? And cook up some leutafisk for that date lmao

  • this makes me sick ! us minnesotans arent like that get your facts straight!

  • i live in minnesota and have not heard the accent yet.

  • @youngrelleus19

If that's the case people from Iowa and Kansas City probably sound southern to you even though they have the most neutral midwestern accents.

  • .....get that woman....philintecircle....she is the one for you....

  • I'd date Phil in a heartbeat his is really good looking.

  • This video is definitely fake, HILARIOUS! Why do I know its fake? I can hear the CR reader at 1:43. For those of you not in the know, they read the x-ray cassettes. As we all know, Phil is/was a tech. Therefore, this lady must be a co-worker put up to making this hilarious video

  • whoever is posting this woman up like this is one weakminded creature that needs to find other ways to have fun, this is ridiculous....he did this without her consent either, u should be so ashamed of yourself.

  • Total fake. Seattle native here, too, in MN for 2 years...and this is super fake. Nobody actually speaks like this anywhere, or maybe they did, but they've been in the grave for 40+ years.

  • @michellexm

I lived in Seattle too, I was always able to tell the transplants from North Dakota, Minnesota and Wisconsin because their accent always stuck out like a sore thumb compared to the locals.

I'm originally from NYC- If you ever watched the Sopranos or Jersey Shore- it's all a put on by hollywood- Sure the accent used to exist but they've been in the grave for 40+ years too.

  • @ohso41

Yeah, the accent in MN is different, but it's almost more like a subtle Canadian (British Columbia area) accent for many people. "Sarri" becomes "Soh-ri", and other little funny quirks. It really doesn't sound like the girl talking.

Wisconsin accents sometimes seem a bit more pronounced, sometimes with a Chicago influence...and North Dakota can some occasionally sound a bit more like the video on display (though typically only with a subtle few of these characteristics).

  • @michellexm

The Minnesota accent is not that subtle. I was just in the Twin Cities this past summer and I cam across several people who had fairly thick accents, and they were locals- not from Northern Minnesota or North Dakota. Of course there were others who had more subtle accents but they were still noticeable.

  • Hilarious! Haha I love it. I am going to be going out to north Dakota probably for school from California..great video

  • she sounds like mureal off of curage the cowardly dog

  • don't understand why u felt the need to post this on youtube - the woman probably didn't want u 2 and i bet you never asked her. very imature

  • I hate youtube

  • Oh, puhleeze! Only fools who watched FARGO and think we're all like Marge would fall for this. THIS video has "that manly smell"...B.O.!

  • ha ha, so fake....

  • ....

  • i lost it at both spelled with k's

  • "Go with", oh ja, we said that all the time in SD.

  • i just came back from seattle yesterday. and i live in minnesota

  • Man..why in the hell did you move from Seattle to Minnesota? Just to make fun of People? I'm from Dallas but I have been up to Minnesota and they are good people...Maybe you should move to Dallas so we can run you over with our BMW's and Hummers..tool!!

  • Lawl I think she's just great for you. She might even be the only one in Minnesota willing to take you, with a forehead like that. Im just really glad things worked out for you man ;D

  • People-----we got it..........The Twin Cities area does not talk like this because it is a melting pot of many different cultures (Asian, African and Hispanic Americans). In Northern MN (Brainerd and up), Yes we do talk like this because there are 3rd or 4th generations of Scandinavians. So Put on Your Flannel and Snow boots and Just shut up. There its settled…… My Minnesota Nice has rubbed off.

  • I'm from Minnesota and live here and have lived in Minneapolis and also Mankato (down south) where the accents are worse - and yes the majority of people DO NOT talk like this. However, Lindstrom, MN where she is from a smaller town and yes some of the people DO talk like this. I dated a girl from New Ulm, MN down south and she was into SCRAP BOOKING just like the fargo movie and she was only 29. So not far fetched.

  • i don't know about you guys, but when I went to Minnesota 3 weeks ago I had to take a shuttle from Minneapolis to Saint Cloud, and in the shuttle there were these two two old couple, and the woman spoke EXACTLY like this woman! the old guy kinda reminded me of youtuber RonnieBoy from Wisconsin. And throughout my trip I heard a few people talk like this too.

  • Ive lived in MPLS all my life. I had a girlfriend once who lived out in Hastings MN. Her parents had accents but not that deep. I think the accent is what part of MN u grew up in,

  • Comment removed

  • These two clearly just watched "Fargo" no body talks like that here

  • Ah, it's the simple pleasures. And for the record, Old Country Buffet isn't horrible. lol

  • It's real. No doubt. You guys have to realize thAt the accent isn't just a MN accent. A lot of the people in the midwest are from places like Sweden. Ufta. Just living there won't necessarily give you a Swedish accent. But it DOES make you say stuff like "mondy" and "saturdy" and “go with” and "garbeej" instead of "trash". So don't cry about it, just relax.

  • hmm... this might be a fake.

  • I'm from Minnesota and this accent is a bit extreme... like someone doing an immitation of a Minnesotan accent. Although, sometimes I catch the accent in myself and I want to go shoot myself

  • Minnesotans do have accents you prick

you just can't hear it because its what your used to, just like how southerners have accents and don't think they do, show some respect to other people and stop being an asshole

  • You obviously have alot of growing up to do.

Your'e insults mean absolutely nothing to me.

If it makes you feel "cool" and like a "real man"

    then have at it.

  • No I don't live in the South I live in the Northeast, however you're obviously someone who doesn't know how to deal with others in a civilized manner and has to hide behind your computer in your mothers' basement and insult others without provocation.

Please, act like a civilized adult.

  • I don't live in Minnesota, I've visited there. If Minnesotans don't have accents, then why can I always pick one out in any other part of the country when I here them talking?

  • Listen to folks from Indianapolis or Kansas City- they have the most neutral of the midwestern accents. If you think that they sound southern, then yes you do have an accent. And yes, Minnesotans do have accents, and everytime I visit, they sound exactly like this woman. Even in the Twin Cities.

  • LOLLLL

i lost at "both start with Ks"

  • wanna come with, lol

  • well of course it is fake, but he got every single saying, mannerism, and even the cadence down to a T ! Well done!

  • NOT fake!!! I've met people from Minneapolis who talk like that!!! She might have emphasized it a little...but not all that much.

  • I'm originally from South Dakota, but have lived in Minnesota for about eight years now, they people down in Southern Minnesota and the people up in Northern Minnesota sound so much different! Sometimes people think I sound weird with my "South Dakota Accent"...

  • I agree, northern & southern minnesota are very different

  • fake

  • LOL. I like a guy who lets me come with when he.. cuts wood..

  • Yea, cuz she would have not said that old country buffet was a fancy place. A BUFFET??? FANCY

  • fake

  • This is fake as hell. Lifelong Minnesotan. Too much: Norwegian sweater, from Lindstrom, Erik and Erika spelled with a K... and the accent... though that IS EXACTLY fom up north.

  • aha! dude! i dont talk like that!!!!! im from hastings, mn ja youbetcha!

  • Twords the middle of the video it sounds like there is a xerox machine going on! She has to be doing this at work. lol.

    Country+Buffet= Fancy???

  • So fake. For one thing, the "Fargo" accent is not that predominant in Minnesota - we are mostly British and German, not Scandahoovian. I'm not a Scandahoov. Plus, this woman is 40? I'm over that and she makes me look 25! We have a "dowd problem" in the Midwest, yes, but not all of us are that bad! (Crap I still asked if I'm old enough to consume alcohol.)

  • fake

  • lol, that is definately a mn accent, but most say they don't talk that way, I've lived in mn too and they do indeed talk like that.

  • does the prowler need a jump Marge?

  • That realy manly smell"

    Hookers and vodka?

  • I really hope that I dont sound like that :/

    lmfao

    I live in the cities

  • hehe -.-:) am from Bloomington MN..hehe all i can say is that this is Funny like hell:) hehe what a cool woman:) she lives up north..have no idea where lindstrøm is ..but.gotto be north:)

  • This is unbelievable!

  • hehehe:) My accent is not this strong;:)

  • sooooo fake

  • fake

  • OLD COUNTRY BUFFET!

  • MN!!!! WOOO!!!

  • That's soooooo mean, Phil! XDDD

  • us minnesotans dont all have that accent...thank you very much....haha

  • okie dokie xD

  • LOL! "Both spelt with K's" I love that.

  • i have lived in north carolina all my life, but i think that the Minnesota accent is very beautiful.

  • this is not art this is online bullying

  • @millicentess No one ever said it was art ;]

  • hahah where i live (and i live in minnesota) i've never heard anyone speak with that accent, besides my biology teacher but that's probably because she's from fargo but yeah.

not everyone in minnesota has an accent, like me! i don't :] and neither does anyone i know.

  • Shes obviously joking

She's saying all the common "Minnesota sayings"

I have lived here my whole life and have never heard someone like that

  • Everybody has an accent you idiots!!! There is absolutely NOTHING wrong with embracing regional or national differences. Have you ever asked yourself why the English sound different from Americans when speaking the same (okay close) language? Geeezzzzzz. Get over it ... Even the idiot who posted this hilarious but terribly staged piece has some sort of fucked up Euro accent .. Listen closely (Sorry Discoteque d-bag ;)

  • she sounds normal to me.

  • This can't be real. She's modest as well she should be. She's wasted right?

  • im from minne minne too and i also dont know anyone that talks like that stupid fugley ass bitch.....id let her suck my dick thow

  • we may have accents but we don't sound like fags (guy at beginning)

  • OK! we DON'T talk like that! Even i think she has a weird accent! we're not all lumberjacks, that cut down trees and chew wheat up here! just cuz we don't drive FANCY cars and eat at thousand dollar resturants and stuff doesn't automaticaly make us Hicks that are poor! Minnesota ROCKS!

    I ♥ Minnesota!

  • Minnesotans do have very distinctive accents, I was able to pick out a Minnesotan who now lives in Rhode Island. My 2nd guess was going to be North Dakota and my 3rd guess, Wisconsin (there wasn't a 4th guess, well maybe the U.P. of Michigan, but theres no one else in the rest of the country that sounds like that.

  • that lady is from canada! LOL. but i agree.. i LOVE Old Country Buffet!

  • "Then i get to run the chipper." ROFL! hahahaha!

  • HAHAHAHHAHAH SHE WANTS TO RUN THE CHIPPER! lol HAHA

  • That Saneeva chick sounds like she's from canada. I too am from minnesota and no one talks like that. State Fair rules tho...

  • as a non-midwesterner going to school in Wisconsin, yes, people really do talk like this. and I have noticed midwesterners tend to not believe they actually have accents :)

  • I have a MN accent, but NO ONE here talks like that. Except maybe up Nort, don'tcha know? Haha...

  • I been to Minnesota many times and I never heard any one talk like that. This is definitely fake. Hahahhahah too funny LOL

  • hahahahah this is too funny! LOL

  • I don't know anyone here in Minnesota who speaks that way.

  • half my family is in minnesota and they all speak like that

  • Maybe they speak something like that but this is way over the top, it's obviously a parody.

  • That bitch was so MN i refuse to believe shes real. and yes, we do have an Accent. just n ot this Balls out fucked. i toss out my share of extended woords. lol And yeah, ida taken her out and watched her freaky MN ass in bed. this is one secretly corrupted as hell place.

  • omg seriously im from mn too. and no we dont talk like that ive never met anyone say you betcha! or okkie dokkie atleast not seriously!

  • MN is the best.

    lol

And no one talks like that in MN.

And the state fair kicks ass.

  • hahahaha

    this is soooo fake!!

  • NOBODY FROM MINNESOTA HAS AN ACCENT LIKE THAT.

seriously, go back to where ever you're from.

  • THUMBS UP.

    EXACTLY.

  • She has a Scandinavian accent.

  • so did you take her out? be honest..

  • If you are originally from Minn. then you do sound like that. It may not be as strong and you may not use words like "oh gosh", but it's still there.

  • definitely not true at all, my whole family and most of my friends are all originally from minnesota, and NOBODY speaks in that accent, even the slightest bit. just ridiculous

  • Bullshit!

Dude, I am also from Minnesota and I have NEVER known anyone who remotely sounds like that. We speak common (non-Southern) American English here. Besides she sounds fake to me.

  • No you don't. I've been to Minnesota and everyone even those in the Twin Cities sound like outcasts from the movie Fargo.. Standard Midwestern English is more typical of Omaha, Wichita, Kansas City, Indianapolis, Des Moines.

  • Read above...

  • no, no, no it is not. For example...WASH as in wash my cloths has no fricken R in it as in waRsh. That is most certainly not typical midwestern english as I've never said warsh myself. I live in S. Mpls by the way.

  • People don't say "warsh" in Omaha, Wichita, Kansas City, Indianapolis or Des Moines.

If these cities don't have a midwestern accent, then what type of accent do they have?

  • She has a Northern Minnesotan accent. trust me. my grandparents speak with that Deep "O" sound. and say "ya sure ya betcha" and stuff like that.

  • she is from canada

  • Have you seen what Lieberman is up to lately with YouTube censorship? Look it up. It's well known Lieberman will be a top guy in McCain's cabinet. This is what you get with Neocons who see devils everywhere. More censorship. More wars. Less freedom. And debt that your grandchildren's children will still be paying to China. McCain says he doesn't get the economy. It shows. SOMEONE has to say ENOUGH. How many more wars you want us to pay for, John? Georgia, Iran, Iraq, Afghanistan... where else?

  • wtf i also live in minnesota and NOBODY talks like that. I hate that bullshit stereotype

  • Same Here i also have a heritage form Sweden and Norway and i have never in my life ever heard that accent even in northern minesota and fyi i live near Lindstrom lol

  • dude..

    im a minnesotain..

    and

WE DONT SOUND LIKE THAT WOMAN

    DO NOT..

    but..

i do love Old Country Buffet!

  • dude we minnesotans soo dont sound like this redick woman. how mental

  • lol poor old lady u guys just went public with that shit

  • Hahahaaa! She sounds so Norwegian. Some people in Northern MN do talk to like that though, because they are still hanging onto that northern european heritage.

But I grew up in central MN and I've never hear anyone speak like that.

  • haha

    i love it!!

duluth natttiiivvess sound like that!! =] yesss

  • like me

  • lived in mn all my life never heard that drastic of a accent hahaha

  • hahahahhaahhahah i love it. but we all dont talk like that. its only some and its never really that drastic. lol but funny shit

  • OH MY!!!!!!!!! PammieKay

  • Minnesota born and raised....and I sound NOTHING like that-- my family and friends sound NOTHING like that. However, I went to a woman who sounded like that.....she was from ONTARIO!!!!!

  • LOL!!! We do have people that still talk like that. I was born and raised in Minnesota and I crack up when I hear people talk. Not all of us have that accent, but you hear it once in awhile. God, I love my Minnesotians.

  • This cracked me up so bad! haHA

I'm a Minnesotan, born and raised, but I still got a kick out of this. People don't talk like that where I am unless they moved here from up north, but I understand how those videos could crack you up!

By the way...your intro to this video was pretty great. I loved the animation to it. :P

  • By the way, I do say "you betcha" every now and then, but more often we say "you bet". And I say "sure" a lot. Come on- the south has "y'all" Every region will have its quirks....

  • C'mon-this isn't for real...! I live in MN (not from here orig) and there are people that do have that "lilt" in their accent, but ppl here are not this dumb. Give us a little credit!

  • Fargo is in North Dakota. If you don't like it go back to where you came from. grow up degenerate. MN for life!

  • I've been to a lot of cities in MN and no one sounded like that. This vid is stupid. Everyone who thinks that Minnesotans sound like that should come and see how wrong they are!!!

  • Let me guess

Minnesotans have no accents, they just like people on tv- yeah.....right......

  • Im from St.Paul, MN. NO ONE here talks like that... thats fake

  • I live in Minneapolis, MN and I don't know one person like this! This can't possibly be real! LOL.

  • Everytime I go to Minnesota I meet people who sound just like this

  • fuckin a

that was crazy. my jaw is on the floor.

i think this is a work. this has GOT to be a total work.

"Old Country Buffet, boy i sure like that there, that's a real fancy place to go eat."

    C'MON!!

  • WE MINNESOTANS ROCK!..U BETCHA..lol jk we gots The Replacements Prince Soul Asylum.... no prezes.. crap that's all i got... JTLUK-(just to let u know) IT DOES NOT SNOW UP HERE YEAR ROUND! -i like cheese + cheese curds GO STATE FAIR
  • haha wow i'm glad i made a youtube account so i can comment on these types of gay things of our great state

  • This can't possibly be true. I've lived in Mn my whole life and have yet to hear an accent like that other than on tv. Still funny though.

  • It's true alright. I know this woman who's from Sudan, and she has the heaviest minnesotan accent ever! And i live in ely..:P

  • Please tell me you really dont think this is real some of the most beautiful women live here and by the way im born and raised in mn and you fit in just perfect with the polka at the end you got it down...

  • Wow, My friend has lived in 21 diffrent states, and his whole family said Minnesota has the little to no accents, And that we sound like most people you see on T.V and Movies. Minnesota Ftw.

  • I was in Kansas City last month- met a girl from central Kansas who had no accent (I'm from New York) but I've lived all over- she said she went to school in Minnesota and everyone used to say she sounded like a southern belle- she did not sound like she was from the south- she had a generic mid-western accent- however EVERYONE I met in Minnesota- North or South- sound like outcasts from the movie Fargo- sorry- but you do.

  • Wow she has a really bad accent...i almost think she's faking it cause i have heard any people talk that bad!..but still funny:D

  • I'm 90% sure this is a parody. She hits on most the major stereotypes.

  • I like that she chose not to reveal her age, but it's right there in the intro. I'm MN born and raised...I'd like to get all defensive and be like "WE DON'T TALK LIKE THAT" but hey...we do...to some extent. Here's the thing, dude from Seattle, your friends back in WA are going to start to notice YOU doing it too!

BTW, I think this is supposed to be a joke...I think that lady is just making fun of MN...maybe it's for real...Lindstrom is a pretty Norwegian little spot.

    one

  • hahahahahahahahaha i live in minnesota (go vikings) and i heard a girl with an accent 10 times weirder then that. we don't ALL talk like that though. ps the state fair accually is fun. (get the deep-fryed candy bars)

  • the lady is canadian idiot lol we minnesotans dont speak in that accent 0.o

  • Choice, eh!

  • ok most minnesotines don't sound like that unless they live in one of those little towns were everyone has know each other since they were babies and have inbreed for the last 100 years......I live in minnesota and I don't sound like that

  • yer a fukin moron, dontcha know! (ya sher ya betcha)

  • she sounded sexy i should message her =P

  • Once in a while you find an accent that extreme here in MN. The more rural and the further north you go, the more likely you are to run into people who talk like this. Most people from Minneapolis or St.Paul at least have a hint of this accent. I've been told by people in California, Colorado, Texas, and Louisiana that I sound a bit Canadian. My theory is that the cold air forces your mouth and chest tighter and you distort certain vowels. Try speaking when it's cold, sounds like a Minnesotan.

  • I live in minnesota and that accent is not really heard here so don't think that!

  • lol! I lived in central Minnesota my first 22 years and have never heard anybody talk with that thick of an accent yet! So please remember that this is NOT typical there!

  • I was just out visiting Kansas City, Omaha, Denver and Albuquerque- everyone in these cities sounded Midwestern to me-nothing like the people who I've heard in Minnesota- who sound just the like the woman in this video

  • I lived in northern and southern MN most of my life and that accent and attitude was a good mockup - but not real. I think the woman is an actress and was bagging the dating service or was doing a bit with the maker of the video.

  • Now thats a funny video. I live In Southern Minnesota and to me, she sounds like a canadian. I have yet to hear anybody have that particular accent here.

  • It becomes more apparent when you live in Northern Minnesota. I live in North Central Minnesota and you can hear it here. It's not particularly heavy, but tourists tend to notice it.

  • im a minnesotan thats a fake one thats how they used to talk here in minnesota i can do that accent to though

  • that's weird, i've lived in MN my whole life and i've never heard anyone talk like that

  • The mom from the cartoon "Pepperann" has that very same accent... Look it up on Youtube it's too funny!

  • Can you say polka? (goofy dancing)...lmao!!!!

  • Uh... no one talks like that.I don't think I even HAVE an accent! we aren't canadian eh!

  • There's no such thing as not having an accent...

  • O.O I'm scared.

  • This video is a joke. Having lived in MN all my life I will say that there is a dialect around the state. I can spot a Willmar/Litchfield dialect, a St Cloud dialect a Brainerd/Breezy Point dialect and a Rochester/Winona dialect. Good video, and i'll just say that I loved the film: Fargo!

  • oh no! nobody in MN talks like that! it's terrible!

  • Man, the whole FARGO stereotype concerning Minnesotans having that accent is annoying. I live not far from Lindstrom, Minnesota and there are no "modest" women there. However, I digress.

Concerning the assertion that all people in Minnesota have hit a deer with their car... it's true. And it is true that the only smooth driving is in winter when the potholes are filled with snow.

It IS very cold here, but not always pretty with snow. More like Eastern Europe sort of a Nuclear Winter feel.

  • She sounds like she watched the movie Fargo too much. I am from MN and havent ever heard some one talk like this. lol.

  • id hit that...

  • those people are from International falls minnesota and the range towns like me haha

  • I live in MN, and i have met ppl with THAT bad of accents b4! they live ALL THE way at the TIPPY top of MN! lol

  • uhh yeahh..

i live in minnesota.. i never met anyone

    who talks like that here.

unless that freak just moved here.

but umm .. yeah. not much farms either..
