Wow! An awesome dance track turned Banarama-style! I can even see some Venus references! It's amazing to see an epic song being covered by a classic group! Kudos to iiO for their gem and to Banarama for the beautiful version! We need more covers like this!
hope they'll be a wideboys remix version or even better a Pete Hammond retro remix one as he has done for Lonnie Gordon's catch you or Sinitta the day you said goodbye or alphabeat boyfriend or well:so many more:check them here on you tube:there fab
I love it! The original is obviously better, because the song suits Nadia's voice, but I was kind of craving a livened version of the song and here it is.
There were no vocoders etc in 1981!!!! It's a tribute to a song they love!!! Simple as that!! Bananarama's new album Viva contains v few covers if u'd give it a listen !!!!
And its v nice the original artist is flattered!!!
Bananarama perform LIVE a hell of a lot these days!! Listen to Keren's LIVE vocals for a start!!
I believe you are referring to Auto-Tune not being around in 1981. The Vocoder has been used in music projects since the late 1960's, and in pop dance music as early as the 1970s acts such as Giorgio Moroder, Kraftwerk, Human League, Earth Wind & Fire, and ELO.
The IIO version is good, but this is SOOOO much better!!! Bananarama has taken a great song and racked it up a few notches. Definitely a much more dance club-friendly version that I suspect will get a lot of spin time in dance clubs.
I personnaly prefer a lot the original version by IIO

I think iiO's version edges this version out.
iiO: 10/10
Bananarama: 9.5/10

Fantastic new Pumped up BPM version of 'Rapture' from Bananarama, a brilliant group vamping up a brilliant song, Nadia Ali likes it too.
Surrender to their rapture arrest!

As much as I like Bananarama, I don't think this song works that well when they sing it. I prefer the iiO original.

Nadia posted on her Twitter page that she used to listen to Bananarama when she was little and is so flattered they have covered her song.

nice try...but Nadia Ali wrote this song for a reason, it goes a long with her voice. I don't think anyone else could sing her songs.

it#s an okay version, but i still love iiO's version though. it's their song. they made it immence!!

Exactly, plus Nadia Ali sounds 100 times better then these two.

they're voices are all vocalised.
basically, these girls can't sing and basically rely on covers to survive, theyre just hanging on.
