you are right, out of the box:D after some weeks, the user makes the difference ;) indeed SA and MV are the best, this is the greatest thing that yamaha implemented in it's keyboards
tyros 1 is much better that s900, has better sounds and facilities ;) also the price is better... the single fact is that tyros 1 is no more produced :(
If you cared to read specs before posting, you'd know that the s900 is better than Tyros 1. The SA voices alone make all the difference (the best real-instrument voices these days in keyboard romplers). The s900 is between the Tyros 1 and 2. The only things that the Tyros has that the s900 doesnt is a bigger moving screen and (I think) aftertouch.
no, you see, here you are wrong. It depends for what you buy the Tyros or the S900. A true professional between those two will choose the tyros, because when it was made it was the no.1 at that time (in 2000 i think) made specially for professional use. The editing facilities are much complex than those of the S900. In deed the SA voices are a plus of S900, but only this thing is superior to Tyros. ;) Cheers!!
Also, I forgot to mention that the s900 has 50% more megavoices than the Tyros. You are right on the sound creating/sequencing features of the Tyros, though. I use my computer for sequencing so I only need basic sequencing on my keyboards. I just want to insist: out of the box, the s900 has better sounds. SA and Mega voices are just *amazing*. Cheers. ;)
the s900 only two layers, where as the the tyros1 has three, that's the only thing I don't like about the s900. Being able to play three sounds simultaneously, I think, is a crucial consideration.

1:54 should be "Driving My Life Away" but you wrote "live" which is incorrect.

Tyros2 is my favorite Keyboard. Unfortunately it is most expensive. Voncken rocks, I saw him in Frankfurt by the Music fair, years ago.
