Being an indigenous American is something to be proud of, people should not be ashamed to be indigenous. The indigenous Americans are beautiful people, and they have a great culture.
It always saddened me to see chicano girls get blonde blue-eyed barbies for xmas. And even though I got my daughter brown eyed dolls throuhgout her childhood-now in high school, she bemoans having piel morena and dark eyes- wishing she had anglo features, down to facial bone structure! It breaks my heart. She will def watch this vid- thank you both so much for what you're doing. We need to ask what's going on (wrong) when our girls are getting colored eye contacts and dying their hair lighter.
*Sigh*. It's so disheartening to hear stuff like this. But we NEED it to get it out there! Most of my family seems bent on turning us into white people. If current trends continue, two generations from now, we'll be pure (or nearly pure) Nordic white. My great grandparents were 100% Nican Tlaca, so yeah :(. At least some of us will keep and love our true blood and identity.
