the tiny tattoos were applied so that the campers would be protected from identity theft since a large percentage of the people inside the camps were criminals who would have tried to impersonate other people. The tattoos also helped the Germans provide the best possible medical care without making any fatal identification errors. Name tags or dog tags would not have worked at all in that type of environment.

when the Spielberg hate-film 'Schindler's List' opened wide the NY Times poll conducted a poll which revealed that 33% of american adults did not believe the WW2 holocaust stories. Since 1993 the overall figure has increased to 45% which includes the european adults who do not believe the holocaust stories. Oh and i can proudly say my father and mother were fighting against the germans at that time. My father gathered weapon from the british soldiers thrown down special places in containers. Then they were delievered to freedom fighters around the country. My mother made dresses from the parachutes which also was a good way to destroy and in the same time take advantage from them. Had Israel existing, they would have had a place to go. This concept of having one safe place in the world is why Israel must continue to exist. Getting back to my original statement, you an see why people who hate Israel and Jews would want to deny the Holocaust. It doesn't even matter whether someone believes it or not. It's the responsibility of each one of us to ensure that it never happens again -- to any culture or people or religion.

I'm pretty sure that denial is a political movement. Historically, the UN granted Israel as a safe haven for the Jews based on the fact that there was no place for them to go during the Holocaust. Boatloads of Jews were sent to every nation and were turned away -- sent back to the Nazi's for the "final solution."

The 6 million figure (as far as i know) came from the testimony of Adolf Aichmann (as he was reporting continously to higher ranks as to whats going on on the field). Aichmann was one of the heads of the execution factory.

Interestingly enough,if we apply the same exageration ratio of 49 to 1 to the 6 million figure of the Shoah(Holocaust)we get around 122,000 as the actual number of jewish deaths.That is slightly less than half of the result of the Red Cross audit of jewish deaths estimated at 271,301.If we compare the 6 million figure to the Red Cross estimate we get an exageration ration of 22 to 1.
