  • Love Love Love this song!

  • Thanks for this post.... I can remember back in the day when this song came out, I was so into the melody and then the lyrics that I had to run out and purchase the album. This song really brings back memories. Thanks a million for allowing this post to bring back those good old days!!!!

  • Kenny Loggins, Michael Mcdonald, and David Foster, you can't go wrong with that combination.

  • i love this song

  • Currently Criminal Minds actor Matthew Gray Gubler might be interested of playing Kenny Loggins in the movie "This is It: The True Story of Kenny Loggins." Jessica Lundy might be interested of playing Kenny's wife Julia Cooper-Loggins.

  • Nice song3

  • to drink water great words all I need to say thank you

  • Oh man! Does this song ever take me back to such crazy and fun days of the 80's! I loved those long summer evenings with my boom box blasting in the woods, or the park or the river with my friends just kicking back listening to this totally awesome music living life to the fullest as a teen should. Feeling so alive and carefree within oneself. Feeling like you can do anything. It is a shame we lose that feeling as we get older. God how I miss the 80's! The best times of my life then!

  • classic... beautiful

  • This video is so imaginative.I so wanna learn how they did this video because it inspires me every time I watch it on YouTube. We need to give Kenny some claps for this video. It took time to make this creative music video.

  • The 11 ppl that don't like this song is stupid.... they don't know good music when they hear it...... #DUMMIES.

  • 11 people punched out

  • Yeah this song flippen grooves, check out Trek To Trango at the link below, very cool new music in the more traditional style like Kenny

  • I have been searching for the title to this song and the singer for the past 4 months and its a shame that no one knew..... well those that I asked....I guess they can't appreciate good music. Glad I was able to ask the right person. I love this song!!! Thanks for posting!!!

  • This song says alot.Kenny even wrote in the liner notes of his album:Greatest Hits - Yesterday,Torday and Tomorrow that he felt this song was a bridge to connect people

  • Oh how love this man!

  • This song gets my head noddin and shoulders bouncin...FUNKY!!!!!!

  • yun pala title nito..hehe

  • Debbie, If you're out there, Remember This Song?

    Gabriel Patrick

  • Always wondered why this wasn't a duet. Naturally sounds like it should be one iMO.

  • never seen this video before...love this song...sing it all the time...

  • Mid 80's, me and 2 of my friends decided at the spur of the moment to drive from Arizona to Purgatory-Durango Colorado for good skiing. When we got there, we visited Tamarron Resort. While there at a shop-this song was playing over the stereo. Such a great time, we had a blast! Everytime I hear this song, I think of those great times-my buddies, our trip, and the cool people we met. Thanks for such awesome music Mr. Loggins. Oh, where did the 80's go so fast!?

  • Does Kenny Loggins capture the essence of the 80's or what? Can I get an "Amen"? Brothas, Nerds of all colors, Cyndi Lauper and Madonna clones, pre-Gothic, we ALL got down to Kenny Loggins back in the day. His beats, his enthusiasm, come on man, y'all know it didn't get any better than this dude.

  • @naysunflower Yes he does, I've always loved his music

  • @naysunflower Amen brotha. I feel you all the way on that. This is one of my favorite songs by him.

  • LOL.. I just realized that a non-gay singer who is regularly singing in "falsetto" by definition NEEDS to have a beard!!

    XD

(this guy Kenny, Bee-Gees... you name it)

  • this song makes me home sick...back in new york days..im in cali now and their oldies are a lil bit different...i love this song sooooooooo much...its soulful and infectious...the melody..the harmony...i love kenny loggins...micheal mcdonald....bee gees all those dudes...james taylor...tooo.....im black and puertorican...when it comes to great music theres no color lines...thats the way it should always be.....they passed the torch to justin....timberlake that is...and some others...lol

  • In the circles I travel in, many fellow black folks don't come right out and say it, but many think black people can sing better than white folks. I don't know that it's really a racist thing, but one thing I do know is that Kenny Loggins can sing. This song and "this is it" are classic songs and his voice is soulful and sounds great even today,

  • @pkwallstreet

No... black people can dance an improvised dance to a song they have never, or rarely danced to.

Singing or playing an instrument are non-race specific.

    Git yr' racism straight.

    XD

    Jus kiddn

  • I have had this song stuck in my head for close to 6 months now, and could not figure out the name, nor be sure if it was Kenny Loggins that sang it. Just figured it out today.

  • Great song and video. But the big white square reminds me now of a giant iPad which of course didn't exist back in 1983 ! I always thought Kenny Loggins was underrated as he did have a style I believe was unique. From way back when it was Loggins and Messina to Dangerzone.

  • Sorry 24 años..... oh

  • Yo era un niño, en New York, y de pronto veo esta canción en televisión.... Y, hahaha me siento como hace 32 años. I love this song!!

  • I don't know why... I love this fuckin song...

  • i love this song, they tripped on the video though. :)

  • @angelsoflightbpagean lol , It was the 80's.....What did you expect?!

  • @beloit22 so so true.

  • 0:55 = World's first I-Pod

  • Just Like a Seat Back and Relaxed Mood..Easy Listening If You Might Say..Kenny Loggins such an 80's Man..Great Music from a Great artist..Saludos!!!

  • Foster Loggins Sanborn GREAT!!!!

  • Kenny is a real soul singer. Love him!

  • Kenny Loggins looks like a kiddie toucher! I hope that boy is okay?

  • @stinsniper

You are so absurd, why don't you grow up and just listen to the song with the ears God gave you! Better then junk today!

  • This is a great video . Any idea who the kid is?

  • love Loggins. Cheesy 80's AM music but still slighly cool.

  • This is a great song by the great Kenny Loggins. I was in my senior year of high school when this one came out!

  • Wow, one of my favorite Kenny Loggins songs! I was 12 when this came out & the video would always make me think of the movie E.T. for some odd reason. Anyway, great tune!

  • Love the song.... but never understood the video.

  • N!!!!!CE

  • by far my fave Kenny Loggins song. what makes it more special for me is that Richard Page and Steve Farris are singin background and i luv Mr. Mister

  • what kind of love is the video depicting? is it self-love or is it fatherly love? is he the boy or is the boy his son?

  • they don't make songs and videos like this anymore!

  • I LOVE KENNY LOGGINS!!!!!!!!!!!1

  • This is my JAM!!!

  • After 20 years of marriage this song speaks directly to me. Sometimes what you have been searching for has always been right in front of you. When you stop searching for the "holy grail" of happiness and appreciate and love what you have..then and only then will you realize what "love" really is and be happy in your life.

"love" is not feeling butterflies and hearing violins..it's a deep caring for someone on many levels.

  • @DrinkWater6Family So VERY true...

  • usher or neyo or somebody that can sing to need to do this song over and see how it sounds cuz i love this song

  • I Love KL and this song but this is the strangest video ever from 80's. So many great romantic ways it could have gone but it was like producer and director were on an acid trip when they came up with this.

  • @macdaddybill i like it the way it is. it doesn't have to be predictably romantic

  • I love music from the 80"s...they actually wrote music and the genre didn't matter. 80'S ROCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • 10 people don't wanna do right

  • It took me a long time to find this song. This song was out when I was young so I couldn't remember the name, but this song was the shit.

  • It took me a long time to find this song. This song was out when I was young so iIcouldn't remember the name, but this song was the shit.

  • is that the little boy from Alf in this video?

  • This song reminds me when i was in the Garden of Eden before I grew up to be a man, got married, and have children.. made me realized you never loose yourself in this temporary walk called life.. awesome song !!!!!

  • Ah, back to the early 80's!!! My budddy's and I would gather on weekends during Stanford Football season, go to the game, then afterwards go to this night club called "The Terrace"!!! Man, what a place!!! If I could only tell you the stories!!! This song reminds me of those times!!! In PEACE and LOVE!!! Sonny

  • "Does anything last forever?" Yes. No. Maybe. I don't know.

  • GREAT TUNE!!

  • Musica que te da energia, buenos recuerdos de los 80 s lo mejor de lo mejor

  • Masterpioece...hope they didn't kill Kenny as said on Soutpark

  • 9 people never had a heart.

  • 3:29 THAT WHAT I DID WHEN MY CALCULUS TEACHER ASKED ME FOR THE ANSWER IN FRON OF EVERYBODY IN CLASS!!! LLOL

  • I LOVE THIS.. MICHAEL AND KENNY AT THEIR BEST

  • Oh how I love this song!! This song takes me back to a time of real happiness and innocence. What a time that was!! My heart just aches for that time. There was such a magic in the air back then that you just cant feel today and that is such a shame. At least I can recapture that magic when I listen to these songs even if for a moment. Those days can never be matched for sure!! Missing those days always but hold the memories in my heart forever!! 80's forever my friends!! ♥

  • @twinklebear22 at least you actually got to live in the good days. it truly breaks my heart what todays world has come to. I would do anything to travel back in time.

  • @woodsman513 Thanks. Yeah it was so great to live in those days for sure but I believe living in those days also makes it even harder to live in today's world if that makes any sense to you. It is because I have had a taste of that magic that was back then and I miss it greatly. It breaks my heart too my friend what the world has become. I would do anything myself to travel back in time. Let's build a time machine and go back together, huh? :)) Now, that would be awesome!! ♥

  • @twinklebear22 if it was not for my mom I would of never listened to music like this. im so glad she introduced me to this music. but yes we should build a time machine to go back to the glory days. the strange thing is that I was watching the science channel and they say time travel in space is possible because time acts differently in space

  • @woodsman513 Now that is awesome!! I totally raised my kids on this music and so it is a huge part of their life too. Well, if it is possible my friend, then I am all for it!! When shall we begin this project? :))

  • @twinklebear22 Hall and Oates were one of the first groups I was introduced to then kenny loggins and many others. Butwe shall begin the project whenever the technology makes it safe and a space craft that could with stand the harsh conditions of deep space.

  • @twinklebear22 thanks for the invite

  • @twinklebear22 Couldn't have said it better myself!

  • @templeofice Thank you my friend!! :)

  • @twinklebear22 U r so right!! Takes me back to a time of real happiness and innocence too.....Cheers!

  • @mrboudin1 Thank you !! It sure does, doesnt it? I sure do miss those days!! Cheers my friend!! :)

  • @twinklebear22 I feel ya. this song takes me back as well. Hard to believe this song came out almost 30 years ago. I can listen to it still. ALL TIME CLASSIC!!!!!!

  • @twinklebear22 You are absolutely right!! Couldn't have said it better myself!

  • @twinklebear22 U turned my thoughts into words...exactly the same!

  • @twinklebear22

What IS it? I totally agree with you....I'm 43 and it seems like today's world is so uptight, nervous, etc. I know there were problems in the 80's...I saw the Reagan assassination attempt on t.v. and the Challenger explosion, etc. but it's like what has happened?? The 70's and 80's were a magical time...and yes, there was unrest, war, poverty, etc. but something about them made it seem perfect. I just don't know if I'm getting older/more nostalgic, but nothing beats it.....

  • @twinklebear22 at least you experienced that magical time! So many of us weren't old enough to remember it, or weren't even born! I was born in 1992, but my heart and soul dwell in the 1970s and 80s...<3

  • @twinklebear22 I completely agree!!!!!! I was just listening to this song and having the exact same feelings that you must have.

  • Kenny's great! He is also the nice guy telling stories through his songs!

  • Love this song! Miss music like this.

  • @gabriel7293 Agree. Music like this is hard to come by these days

  • I adore this song. Weird video though. Nice Cosby sweater. And he does look middle eastern in this video. Ahmed bin loggins.

  • I really like this song.

  • the whole feel of this is Micheal McDonald/Doobie Bros-and thats no bad thing..Does anyone know if Micheal McD. sings on the chorus?.

  • @chopchung

Yes, MM is singing backing for Kenny

  • It is actually Richard Page on bkgrd vocals. Micheal co-wrote the song and also "I Gotta Try" off the same record..

  • Great song !!! Another great Kenny Loggins song is "Forever"...

  • THIS SONG IS SOOO SMOOTH AND RELAXING ...VERRY GROOVY..THEY DONT MAKE MUSIC LIKE THIS ANYMORE...SO TRUE...SO INNOCENT

  • Is that kid in this video his son?

  • I never listened to the lyrics...it's a song about a couple dealing with infidelity and deciding if they should carry on or let it go. He performs a few songs about cheating. I was surprised to see that in his music. Always thought of him as the "nice" guy.

  • WHAT!!!??? Even though I grew up with this song--and sing it all the time in the car, I never knew it was Kenny Loggins--thought it was a black guy...I'm such a poser...

  • @ToshiroHoshi lol that is too funny.

  • HE REMINDS ME OF A WHITE EDDIE KENDRICKS.

  • He shows off some serious pipes in this song

  • This is a beautiful song. Kind of sad...but beautiful. I grew up listening to Kenny Loggins. Yes I am a closet Kenny Loggins fan. LOL Smile!

  • @trdxsd2010 GREAT....KENNY LOGGINS IS GREAT...CHECK OUT THIS SONG YOU GUYS BY KENNY: "MEET ME HALF WAY." • @bigtuba09 Im 19 myself and I listen to this and I completely agree. with everything you said. The music they make now days just doesnt require true talent to make. Bigtuba? I use to play the tuba in Band when I was in highschool.

Thanks

  • @justcruzzinn I I really loved the songs that you wrote for me! I am crazy about slower songs. I also like Lionel Richie, Phil Collins.. Yesterday I was listening to Andy Gibb, the youngest brother of The Bee Gees. Do listen to him? I love his songs! What is more amazing to me are his performances. They are filled with emotion. I think artists today do not put passion when they sing. Thank you so much for the songs you wrote! Kisses and Hugs!

  • @Joesire I'm glad to hear this I loved every last second I was in the band and even now the marching band isn't what it used to be because if I have to play or write out one more rap song I will go crazy. Man I miss high school.

  • Mr. Michael McDonald, is surely the ultimate backup singer.

  • Omg I use to love this song and till do. 7 brought back a childhood memory!

  • I swear this song is a classic for a reason!! I love Kenny Loggins cuz this is a great relationship song!

  • LOL I love this song. But the director of this video should have kept Kenny in the abstract. Gets a little weird at the end. But I still worship the Kenny Loggins. It was the 80's...it was supposed to be cheesy. ;)

  • This song puts me in a good mood!

  • This is my favorite song of his. Plus, Kenny looks dreamy in this video.
