  • GREAAT SOUND!!

  • perfect 50' sounds !!!!

  • Wonderful stuff! Could you tell me what your impressions are of the Custom Shop Staple as compared to regular P90's? Thanks!

  • To obtain a "Scotty" sound it is necessary to use staple pickups and this is my goal with a less budget !!!. The magnets of this Seymour Duncan Staple pickups are stronger than standard P90; theese pickups uses real Alnico V and have different wire and impedance to standard P90 (according to the "original") so the sound is very different.

  • Thank you for the information!

The only other time I have seen these sort of pickups was on an L5 that Clapton played on the "One more car, one more rider" DVD.

    Great sound!!!

  • Thanks for posting. I ran into your video by accident. I'm glad I did because you did what I was thinking of doing. Buying an Epi Elitest Broadway and installing some Duncan Alnico V Staple Magnet pickups. Thanks for demoing that exact combination. My motivation is being a fan of Scotty Moore of Elvis fame when he used a Gibson L5 with Staple pickups. I'm sure that was your inspiration also. Are you using flatwounds or roundwounds? I like your Jazzmaster video also.
