  • Without Larrys drumming u2 would never of made it. Thats how good he is

  • WOW! This brings me back

  • Those lyrics talking about the world in the early 80s, the cold war, the atomic bomb... sadly still up-to-date

  • there is no such thing as the actung tree. the album is actung baby....which means listen. maybe you should LISTEN to all of u2's music. i was 14 when red rocks came out and nothing will ever beat it, it is raw U2 at their finest. It is very political cor what they at the time were going through. I am not sure how I would react to my friends getting killed daily by the I.R.A. but U2 responded in a positive light.

  • @SunBayBee1 What are you talking about? Get it right ... first, it is not Actung ... it is Achtung. Seocndly, it does not mean listen, it means attention. Lastly, listen in German is Horen. Get your facts right.

  • i still get chills with his shirt offf!!!!!

  • My mom was gonna go to this exact concert at Red Rocks but she didn't go because of the weather. We have the VHS and at least she knows what the concert looked like. =)

  • I've seen them in 1987 in Italy (Modena) during the "Where the streets have no name tour" and it has been an Unforgettable Fire......

  • So enimies of my people it is my way to say good bye

  • SPEAK ENGLISH YOU TERRORIST!!!

  • I have been a U2 fan for 25+ years now, I saw them in concert at The Pontiac Silverdome back in 1991 during the Zoo Tv tour, and it's something I will remember the rest of my life. I hope those of you who were at this show back in '83 realized that you were part of something special that night. U2 was on the verge of superstardom, and you were lucky to be there...

  • i trully miss the joshua tree - rattle and hum - achtung tree era so much :( those guys used to be sooooooo awesome back then....amazing

  • I remember watching a VHS copy of this concert when I was a teenager and new to music. i watched 'Seconds' and the song that follows 'I Threw a Brick' then ' A Day Without Me' so much the tape broke. I have played drums in pub bands for 20 years now thanks to that awesome video.

  • Saying things like "USSR" and "Peking" make this song sound dated unlike Sunday Bloody Sunday which is timeless. But this is still a great song.

  • Ladies and gentlemen will you please admire the awsomeness of Larry Mullens drumming at 2.25. Put simply, it was the sole reason i started playing the drums when i was 15. He makes it look like drumming is the thing to do. He is at one with his kit and the music. You don't need loads of tom-toms or over the top fills!!! you just need to feel the music and play with aggression and passion. That's it!!!

  • @olleyuk finally someone who likes Larry's work

  • @olleyuk

    Yes and good luck!

  • @olleyuk

Votu up for you, seems that count for most things

  • love edge vocals

  • what a great concert. red rocks sure is a wonderful place. blessings and thank you for posting.

  • this is brilliant

  • used to watch this on nickoledeon way back in the day!

  • I have this concert on DVD. My favorite song on the dvd
