someone gets it finally, Opie is the one who actually asked anthony to come into the studio because opie saw potential and they made great radio together which formed the opie and anthony show and they decided to get edgy

Also opie is the brains of the show and does the planning which in turn makes them alot of money in the end so no opie=no show
