Nicely sung. Terribly staged, as is common. Someday a director of this opera will actually read the play and in this part of the scene focus Romeo on the balcony where Juliet has just left- or better, is still leaving while focused on him. Romeo certainly doesn't turn his back to Juliette and sing into space. Nor does he lay on the ground. He must escape over that wall he previously o'er-perched on love's light wings. Directors: EVERYONE in the audience knows this play. You can't fake it.
