  • Is he trying to not bend his legs at all, or is that just his posture?

  • @JustElijah I reckon his hamstrings and quads are so developed that it doenst require much force to propel him up hence the slight bend of the knees.

  • what would you suggest if someone wants to improve his 2-legged vertical jump?...what i was also thinking was, why doesn't the guy in the video squat down more? and he doesn't seem to go for maximal height here, but i thought you should do that if you want to jump higher (also in plyometric exercises)....thanks ;)

  • Hi, SuperJump2010, on YouTube, Im jumping 4 & 1/2 feet in the air, amazing over 1000 views

  • Excellent video. He does these very smoothly, which is an important part of jump training.

  • finally some1 knows what a plyometric excercise is!!!

  • does someone use smaller boxes first starting

  • super mario bros lol

  • will plyometrics stunt your growth?

  • They can only if your younger as in 14 or 15 and under they can harden your growth plates. As can doing heavy stretching mostly static stretching but dynamic strenching can as well.

  • do this exercise helps if i am i highjumper?

  • i jumped 10 cm higher after one month when i was doing this

  • after one month 10 cm? You still doing it?

  • Hi Simon, looking good with the high-jump instructions..

    Its Sean in San Francisco..

  • I also like the various angles used for the illustration.

  • i do high jump, which of your videos will help my right leg take off?

  • that looks awesome. I do lil athletics and I could use some co-ordination for hurdles cuz I always lose my balance and such afterwards

  • what do recommend for a weak knee i got some issues with it ,doesn't really hurt it just makes popping and cracking noises every time i contract it like going up stairs is one good example its kinda loud, u see i was really overweight but my love for basketball got me out of that ive lost 30 ponds and now am at 250 pounds standing at 6'2

  • Are his legs contracted (tight) the whole time? what percent or scale (a lot, not much, or a little) of your lower back is used in this jump and generic jumps?

  • Nice tutoral;)

  • very nice

  • how long does it take before you see a significant difference in your jump?

  • that depends what you are jumping for, b ball or athletics? If you use these exercises 3xweek for 4-6 weeks your body should have adapted to the new movement. This combined with good leg strength in the squat is the best combination, simon hunt.

  • very smoothly executed.

  • he's good
