  • Where are the costumes from?

  • @bduthoy I'm not sure which region they are from. The characteristic flower ornaments they have on the heads are not part of any specific regional costume, but a part of the traditional ritual named "Lazarki". During the St. Lazarus' Saturday and Palm Sunday, young girls sing and dance special Lazаrki's songs and dances. Those girls are called Lazarki (or Lazarici, Lazarenki).

  • @MusicOfMacedonia : the costumes are from the village Petrovo, near Gevgelija (informations from ansambl Tanec)

  • @bduthoy Thank you. That region is better known as Bojmija.
