Gears of War 3 - How To: Unlock Comet Mutator

I have a easier way. Warzone on old town (with the same settings/all boomshots). Grab the boomshot and aim right at the shop with the 3 feathery things being hung. Aim between the left two if you spawn on the upper area, and in between the right two if you are on the bottom. If you are on the top, run to the rail and shoot from there. On bottom, run to boomshot, evade once, and shoot where I said to aim. Also amazing way to get hail mary's for big explosion.

@Chomper839 Some rounds they gather up pretty good and some they tend to split up. This is why I said "Every round should take around 30 secs to 1 minutes 30 secs." because on those rounds where you for example miss your shot at the beginning it might go slower. This method worked like a breeze for me so if you're having problems then maybe you should try a different tactic or use some other weapons.

@HDGamingCorner yea actually after watching ur video again, i realized i wasn't advancing enough. but my biggest problem is that if i let one of them get a boomshot, im practically dead cuz their aim is right on. plus my team keeps killing themselves lol.

@Geovani74699 How is that possible? Mutators in a private warzone match? They can only be used in private horde or in the campaign.

how long would it actually take 2 get 300 first blood ribbons (300 warzone rounds)

After 15 rounds, which should take about 15 minutes, you should have 15 First Blood Ribbons. You will need *300 ribbons to unlock the mutator." If you do one round in 1 minute, then you should have it unlocked within 300 minutes.

Yeah this is basically the only technique for it, waiting to slowly let it build up is to much. however i will never get the seriously 3.0 for example. the kill your nemisis. sorry, but ive only been made a nemesis like 8 times.. not gonna happen

epic needs to reconsider.

@geosnafu Yeah, I totally agree with Seriously 3.0. Someone did a calculation somewhere that you had to play for about 4 hours a day, doing 7 matches each mode, in around 2 years to get the multiplayer done. Then there's horde, campaign, beast etc... Do you mean the onyx medal I've got next to my name? I believe that's the "Complete all acts on Insane" or the "All chapters on insane Arcade"!

@HDGamingCorner Exactly, one of my mates said. oh it will be easy, it will build up as you keep playing. but to be honest. you'd have to keep playing everyday for .. as you said a year. and i think once im lvl 100 i think the game might die a little for me. and thats not far away atm.

Another good setup in order to get Comet. You know, I feel like the mutators/medal requirements are just bullshit. Some of them are too short while others are completely annoying and time consuming.

@XxTarkenxX I agree. Epic really did a lousy work at these mutators/medal requirements, especially the Seriously 3.0 achievement. Now, I can sit here a whole day and complain on what they did wrong with the game but I'll stop myself from doing so! :P

I worked my ass off to get 300 thinking I was going to get it..I was so wrong now I read it's 1000 wtf that's gonna take a long ass time.ill get it when I get it

@redtatt27 Yeah, it's a pretty insane mutator. Epic set some really odd requirements for their achievements/unlocks. Just look at Seriously 3.0 :(

@alexvcaqua Yes. However, you need to have full teams (maximum bots or/and friends) in order to get ribbons.

@suenge Not sure, it took a while atleast. One of the more annoying grind mutators, but I took it a bit more lightly, so it took longer than if I was constantly grinding for it. But maybe a few hours?

@esfeller The issue I see in that is that it takes 1 minute per round and you have to hold back from killing anything besides the first kill and wingman. In my method, you can kill them with all your hearts content and earn some more kills with explosions towards the Onyx medal. However, as long as you're enjoying the game, every method is a good one!

U can make 15 in 7 minutes if u choose mercy,rush to the central boomshot and you should be able to kill them all in around 20-30 seconds/round

@0ferri0 One round on Gridlock takes about 30 seconds as well, but can be dragged out to a maximum of one minute of you miss the boomshots. Then it's some additional seconds while switching rounds and stuff. It's all about personal preference. Mercy is a good map for this as well, but I prefer Gridlock. Mostly because of the Mad World tune that plays! :)
