I wish professors would let you use sum of forces x,y written out it seems so much easier than the box method in my opinion because you do the same thing and get the same answer but they mark points down for not 'using' their way
The box or table method is really to help students organize their work in a way that is easily understood by themselves for checking their work but also easily understood by future or current coworkers. In the workplace it is important not just to be able to calculate things but to also communicate the method that was used. I would think that as long as you have clear and easily followed solutions that your instructor would be amenable to your method; ask to see.
Which level of physics is this? I'm in day 1 of Engr Phy and I understand trig very well and see a lot of it in the problem. I'm trying to wrap my arms around the vector stuff. Great video and thanks for sharing. i voted "like".
